SweetDommes: Protestments are never fun. Mine started doing it more when I was away last year on the weekends working Faire. And, it seems to continue. Good luck with the puppy training; that is not a task that I have ever attempted but I hope that such potty training goes smoothly and swiftly.

Davan - the definition of fetish would hardly be the only holdover from the Victorian era! And this goes double for no strings housework. I know that I'm not the only one who watches Upstairs Downstairs like a porn loop.

Seriously though, neither of the above definitions have been superseded in standard English, though I am sure that the medical valuations have been updated somewhat. And I do find the idea of purposely imbuing objects and or actions with intense meaning and interesting endeavor. sexual attraction is itself so irrational and odd, why not learn to love housework?

No cats in my house. EVAH! I'm a dog person so no house boy would ever have to change cat boxes. I do have 3 dogs, one, the Crack Russell Terrorist, inside and to Chow mixes outside. We only have to fill up the dog food trays and change the water about twice a week. My problem is the One Domme, one semi switch Hubby and one clueless teen in the house. We're all slobs and pack rats. We're not really filthy, just always to busy to sweep, run the dishwasher, fold clothes or mow grass, so it just never gets done. We always have some 'Project' going on that involves stuff everywhere. We have what we refer to as a 'tolerable grunge level'... it's sort of that unspoken point where the clutter is ok, but if it starts getting nasty, CLEAN IT! I would love to just get it all cleaned up, then have a houseboy who could come in and just maintain. But then, if wishes were horse then beggers would ride.

I'm a pack rat too. Especially when it comes to electronics & pc equipment. Aside from missing a computer case, I probably have enough spare parts laying around to build a 2nd pc. I know how it goes.. =o/

Well Lucky... I am a neat freak.... AND a pack rat. Figure that one out... most of my things are in Containers (at one time I had more containers than things to put them in.) and they are HEAVY. I pack efficiently.

A second pc?

I like the magnets from the inside of the hard drives.... and those reflective discs. Some of them have ferrofluid... no?

Yeah, I've been wanting to build a second pc to act as a file/media server. It's one of the many things I've wanted to do to increase my IT "value", and make me more sellable in the job market. I've been tempted to toy around with Linux for the file/media server, and Win Server 2003/08 to learn about AD but haven't really had the time (not to mention money) to do so.

I think that practically all harddrives have some amount of FFL in it (SS drives have been the only exception to this rule)

A year or two ago, my HD based mp3 player died (creative zen micro) and I took the harddrive apart. Looked pretty interesting, like a miniature turntable. I ended up buying a Lego set, and did a "rave scene" type deal, using the HD in there to mimic turntables.

Heh.

One thing I've found EXTREMELY useful, is a tacklebox. No lie. I dabble in electronic circuitry, and I have a boatload of LED's, resistors, pots, breadboards, prototyping boards, etc laying around.

Tackleboxes are absolutely superb for keeping little things like those organized. Get yourself a Dyno labeler, slap some labels on the front, and wham. You're golden. If it's one of the rectangular tackleboxes, with the two shelves that raise/lower when you close the lid, I usually keep stuff like my soldering iron, desolderin braid, bigger (4x6 inch +) bread/prototyping boards down on the bottom, and the smaller, precut ones up top.

Works like a charm.

The puppies aren't doing too bad, except that they like to tear up their puppy pads at night instead of pottying on them, so their crate area gets quite nasty. Right now it's good, because I just mopped it lol The big problem is that they discovered that we feed the rats cheap dog food ... and they ate it ... and eating cheap dogfood when they are used to quality dog food just doesn't go well

*sigh* I just got my Buick back. It's been dead for almost a year. This mechanic said it was just a bad battery. I don't think so, but I bought a 3 year battery with warranty and if it dies soon, I'll get a new one and take the car BACK to the shop and say "Guess Again!"

The transmission fell out of the Chevy. The van is knocking like a drum line. ONE out of three cars needs to MOVE on a consistent basis.

I was interested in a no-strings housework slave for some time. But I never accepted one. (well the ones that contacted Me were from out of the country anyway), because I just wasn't ready to give out My housework. I'm terrible in doing housework. So it was something I wanted to control. Only when I found that I had My housework under control and was perfectly able to do it Myself. I accepted a transgender slave girl, that offered to do My housework (here on collarme) 1,5 months ago. It's going well. She really doesn't expect anything in return, all she wants is to do My housework and make My life easier. But when I'm in the mood to dominate her, of course she likes that to.
