After viewing the butterfly boards, this is not what I want, I'm looking for something I can drive big nails into. This doesn't look sturdy enough for what I want to do. My sub is building a something for this very purpose. I will post some pics on my profile when he's done with it. It's something he will be sitting on, with support, and we will also be using a suspension harness to ensure that should he pass out there will be no weight strain on the ball sac. I've decided to go with the primal music and costuming. I'm listening to different drumming/stomping CD's now. I dont' want anything with lyrics at all. Nothing that has any startling aspects at all. I want to create a very translike state for the boy.

For those that want to know... So far I have chosen live drums and 2-3 female dancers to add to the scene. We are still working on a firm date, but so far it appears to be the 25th of March. I will post on upcoming events when the date is confirmed. My sub is making a bench for this activity. When he has it done I will post a pic on my profile. I am getting really excited about this!!! Can you tell?

Well, the boy is making a bench. I love it when they are masochistic AND talented. We are beginning practice with the nails and different types of wood. Testing and trying different types to see which kind of wood and what thickness will be best for going in and coming out. I love the look on his face when I mention "ripping them back out". I will be going to the library at some point this weekend where I hope to find a book on lacings. So that I can begin to plan this. I spent Saturday evening with the Manager of The Mark, discussing what space we will be using, what the scene will entail, and any questions he had. He had 2 big questions and I was surprised at what his concerns were. First was the sage burning in the smudge circle because there's very little ventilation in the building. Second was he wanted me to be sure and make a big production about the nails and hammer and board all being sterile. We have spoken with a local piercer and he will autoclave the nails and they will be sealed until I remove them for use. I am will be using a hospital grade hand sanitizer for my own hands immediately before the nailing. We also discussed where I want the DM's placed and why. I specifically want someone on the door to the dungeon, it's loud when it's allowed to shut on it's own. I don't want any random noise pulling us out of our head space. We discussed the nurse and paramedic that will be attending with adequate supplies in case of any slip on my part or the unforseen happening. I am still working on dancers. I have had several women offer to belly dance, but I don't think that fits with the mood I'm trying to set. I have talked with a few other women and we will be talking again over the next 2 weeks. I have almost a full drum circle at this point. They will begin after the smudge, play through the first 10 min of the flogging, and then they will play during transitions and through the actual nailing. They will be mostly freestyling, but there will be a few times that they are going to play along with some pagan music. My beloved Tim is making costumes. We are shopping for leather and have yet to find something suitable. That's where we are. Thanks for asking.

I've seen the video you are talking about. The guy was restraint sitting on a punshment, spanking horse with hands over head. I thought she used wire nails and a very light claw hammer. After she nailed him she used a larger nail stuck in a wood handle heated by a torch. For a little fire play. In your selection of wood make sure that it doesn't contain any preservative. Galium arsined, formeldahide, to name two. Both of these chemicals may cause the wounds to swell up and turn a greenish yellow. Using a number 1 kiln dried lumber of furniture grade might be a safer bet. Emphasizing safer bet, but no garentee of safety. Hand sand to remove any sealers and surface preservatives. Then thoroughly clean to remove wood dust. If the wood is wet, containing moisture, natural or otherwise, throw it out. Don't pull the nails back threw the scrotem or balls either. I've been told that wire nails can be pulled threw and out, because they have no heads. Another video I saw years ago, about the same time. Was that of a mistress who pushed two scewers thru a pair of tightly bound and out stretched testies. Then inserted a dozen needles, or so, into the same testies. Any one have some information on this activity. I would like to know more. Specifically after the needles were taken out. In the movie the woman face sat him palyed with each needle before pulling it out. He kept "singing", (screaming), and passing after every two to three needles. I think she climaxed atleast once by the way her face suddenly got flush. Hugs and kisses Mich

I, personally, think this is a wonderful idea. I was involved in this exact type of scene a year or so ago, and it was absolutely amazing. Though, between you and me and the rest of this thread, I was told after the scene was over, it was more of a mindfuck than anything, for the boy, because the actual nailing and removing didn't really hurt as bad as he thought it would. I'm sure you could use that to your advantage in the days leading up to the scene. [;)] You obviously have all your nails in a row. I wish you and your boy the best of luck, and hope you both enjoy this wonderful type of scene as much as I did.

My advice... Ensure the nails have been sterilized in a steam autoclave and that they are not exposed to air before your scene. Use a hardworrd butterfly board - less likely to splinter. Pain is one thing, infections is another. Prep his sac with betadine prior to the nailing. Don't puncture the testes - just the scrotum. Scrub your hand with antibac soap thoroughly AND use nitrile gloves. You mention that you have already chosen the nails. All I can say is ensure they are steel. Other metals/alloys can cause reactions. You want to keep your maso healthy so you can hurt him again.:)

An update on preparations. The boy is still working on the bench that he will be sitting on. Designing, making, and redesigning. As we have yet almost 4 weeks before the scene he's right on track with this. We are still working on headspace and meditation. I like to smudge, and he was completely unfamiliar with it. He was a martial arts instructor for more than 20 years, so he's having no difficulty in meditation and head space, just combining the two different schools so to speak. This week the boy brought me a board, nails and hammer to practice nailing. I didn't think that I would need any practice, I've driven a nail or two before... but what I realized was that my natural instinct when lining up the nail and the hammer, is to tap the nail with the hammer before drawing back and swinging. This will cause unnecessary pain and possibly movement in my boy. So now I'm practicing to get out of that habit. That's where we are for those that are following along...until next update...

This is a concern I can understand, but maybe from a different perspective. If other people are playing in the same building the smell of the sage may actually interfere with their own scene. I remember a party I was at and someone was using incense in a scene. The smell of it made it difficult for my Lord and denika to focus on their play. Even though normally the smell may not bother them, it introduced an element to the scene that caused them both to be distracted and not in the right head space. This is just another perspective to consider if other people are going to already be in the middle of play when you start. Have fun. Knight's kyra
