It may have something to do with the first two words in the title of your post. Not to point fingers, but one may wish to pay close attention to "wanting" - not in the title of course, but in the overall submissive mindset.

Welcome to the boards Lorelei, the format was fine and the reason I think you will get most everyone being nice is because the tone and content of your post gives a good first impression.

Absolute agreement on the respect comment, I frankly don't pay much attention to what box someone has ticked, I look at the post and react to what I see there. I rarely look at a profile from someone on the board unless I see reason to in the post, maybe a bit of info missing that I think might be in their profile.

I venture that some of the problem is location, location, location. For example, there several slaves who are Gorean orientated and whom would be ideal for my house and later perhaps myself. Yet these folk live in the USA or Canada. The reality of the situation is that other than a visitor's visa, it is easier to break in or out of a close guarded Military prison than it is to obtain a long term visa and then residency in Australia. (We just let terrorists wanted in and out but keep good folk out).

I forgot to mention... the nice tone and context of My profile is simply a hunting strategy... once captured, the tone changes, and "nice" becomes relative. But Shhhh...

The people that have been around awhile need to remember they where a "newbie" once.
Didnt you want someone to guide you?Thats all anybody wants thats asks a question.

I can say Id rather help out someone new than watch them make mistakes,get hurt or worse.I know that I get a much better feeling if I can be helpful,better than I would feel if I knew the answer and didnt share it.

So, if I may be so bold ... where is your helpful suggestion?

Lots of people point out other threads because they have already stated their opinions and don't feel the need to type it out another 3 dozen times. And if you actually go back through the threads that are suggested, you will find the help that you seem to think is lacking here. There are no "prehistoric" threads here ... and even if there were - there is lots that can be learned from the past.

First off petal, if you are going to try and jump down someones throat about something, do read their post and try to undertsand what it says BEFORE going off on a totaly irrelevant rant.

Read my post again, where does it say to check out another thread? Yes it was abrupt and so it should be, the attitude the OP started with, if not changed would have soon likely evoked a much harsher responce or three from other quaters.

Was it a slap on the wrist? of course it was and was the second post from the OP in a much better tone? One likely to get more helpful responces? also yes. The responce was designed to bring them up short and think about wether their tone would get the responce they wanted.

Is the tone of this post equaly abrupt. yes... because I don't like your tone and couldn't care less wether YOU like it or not. I'm not here to please you. Some I respond to more gently, some less gently, according to what *I* see as needed in that instance. It might not be the way YOU help someone but I don't see anyone trying to hold you to doing things their way and your not going to get too far trying to get people here to do things YOUR way! Deal with it!
