I like beer. I think it's great how beer continues to play important roles in politics and the rest of our lives.

Yes, beer is a great way to bring all of us together.

If we could get all the leaders of the world in a room together, and
give them beer to drink, we would be able to achieve world-wide peace and harmony.
We need more Kumbaya moments in the world, not less.

You know, it really is irrelevant, but I kind of like the idea of a world leader who solves problems by "talking it out over a few brews", much like the rest of us.

Fangs has a close up of the video, in his link, in his
OP.

It is actually rather humerous.

I also like the way Skippy is staring at Gates for a good long time when
the video starts.
I wonder what he said to him.

OK, I am confused, I thought "Skippy" was Gates.

You are right, Skippy is Gates.
Be careful about posting late at night, when it is time for bed!

I meant I like the way Skippy is staring at Officer Crowley.

It was Blue Moon for the cop, Red Stripe for the prof, and Bud Light for the prez to wash down his crow.

Interesting dynamic, at least in the snippets I saw. The body language was totally "wtf are we doing here?" and "wtf is Biden doing here"?

The president didn't apologize. He "acknowledged he should have used different language to express his concerns".

It would have been so much simpler if he had thought before he spoke. Or at least came back quickly with a real apology. But having a few thousand cops around the country that will now avidly campaign against him in 2012 can't be all bad.

I like beer but not the skunky beer he serves at the White House.

Crowley should have told Obama to stick that beer up his ass.

I agree completely.  The only shame is that this won't work for observant Arabs.

I find myself disagreeing with Obama's policies more and more (the ones he's enacting, not the ones he campaigned on) but I do like his down to earth style.

Note to collarme - Obama's been President for over six months now.  Any chance that his name could be added to the dictionary so it doesn't show up as a misspelled word during auto spellcheck?  For that matter, could ":collarme" be added to the dictionary?

*WARNING: Very opinionated commentary below*

I've had occasion to sit down over a beer and hash out disagreements -- I find it to be a pleasant social lubricant. That being said, ummm.. I could swear that what I saw on that table was pee in a mug... Beer should have -deep color- and -texture-. One of the four of them looked to have something worth drinking there, but I wouldn't swear to it... though it was dark, you could still -see- through it, and that isn't worth pouring into a mug, to me. *LOL*

PS: OH... and if you have to drink it -cold- or in an iced mug... EWWWW.
