I wanted to say thanks to Linnea for being such a great friend. Linneaborealis, CM's very on MotherTrucker rolled in to the Chicagoland area. I drove the 43 miles in rush hour traffic cause ya know friends are worth it! Besides, I got to see a real life girl trucker! I even got to go in her cab! Woo Wee! We went to Applebees and sat at the bar cause they gave us a free appetizer for doing it. I was really expecting to eat at a truck stop, really. But Linnea wouldnt have any of that! We talked for hours. About everything, about nothing. We went off on tangents and came back around to other topics, "Yada yada, go go dancing, oh yea, bikes". We laughed we cried, we cheered each other up. We talked about the value of real friendship and what that means, of anger and forgiveness and the true blue way sister friends love and forgive and are there no matter what. Thank you my sister friend. Next time you roll to town stay longer and we will hit the city!

I had such a good time.  I loved how we would talk about anything & everything & wander around & then get back to the point & off onto something else.  I'm definitely going to try to come back & spend a weekend next time so that Lushy can take me out on the town & see some of the Chicago night life.  I've never actually been in Chicago.  I've been all around what I call Chicagoland, but never in the actual city.

Poor Lushy, I changed the venue on her, got her into the windy twisty suburban streets that change their names every few feet.  Thank god for cell phones, huh??  Eventually she did find me & I'm so glad that she did.  [:D]

I will do that BK.  I was actually there last week with a short layover.  I was out in West Valley City.  I'll be sure to let you know the next time I get there with some time to hang out.  All too often, I have to drive 650 miles each day & can only stop for 10 hours which doesn't leave much time for eating or anything but a quick shower & sleep.

Know how that goes...  Went on a couple runs with my uncle a while back, shortly before my mom passed.  It was... interesting.  But not entirely unpleasant.  Now, I'm trying to remember the name of this little town in Montana, there's a mom and pop diner there, the food was stellar!  I'll let you know if I can come up with it.

This year, I actually got to come clear into Chicago, not just buzz around the outskirts. Got here yesterday, met Wunderkind, went out for Tapas & talked & talked. Today, we got up, Lushy had made coffee--wooohooo!!--& eventually we got around to going out so I could play turista. I got to see Soldier Field & Wrigley Field. How cool is that??? We drove on Lake Shore Drive; Lake Michigan was a gorgeous color today. We ate & ate again. This city is so incredible. I could live here.

We were sad to see her go but she is welcome back to my open door anytime. (As well as any of my friends from around the globe!)
