I can live without any tool, implement or item. I need no whip, latex, rope, paddle, strap-on.

What I can't live without is protocol and a slave who has a mind set of serving. As Miyani said. I must be the leader in the relationship. I must be in control. And not just for "play" but for EVERYTHING.

(I get to decide which bar to watch the Chelsea game *grins*.)

And I don't consider it a kink...it is the way I lead my life. My whole life. Tying someone up is an event. Being a Domme is a life.

*nods* yes, that's it. Actually, I can handle having someone with whom I don't have comprehensive authority, as long as I either have someone -else- in my life over whom I -do- have that OR I know that we're working towards that kind of an authority dynamic. Without at least one person over whom I hold that level of authority, I tend to be on edge, because I'm always watching for what is going to "slip through the cracks". Let's face it, PC or not, I'm a control freak. (What do you expect... it's one of my more solid Virgoan characteristics).

Thanks to E/everyone for the posts in this great thread, I think as subs we learn to be very careful of stating our kinks as there is concerns of being thought to be only in search of specific "acts" and not the fuller and more complex relationship in which both Dominant and submissive bring more to the table. For a newer submissive , one for whom there is an "ocean" of things i have yet to experience it does seem to be premature to have set on any set of activities. For me anything that touches the deep wells of surrender i love to delve into.. that which makes me feel powerless or vulnerable . There is also the category of not things which one desires those ice cream or Eclaire wanna have it kinks- but also there are things i dislike that i
long to endure as tests or trials . These may be things i have not even imagined but which spring from the riches of the Dominants imagination. The last thought i have is that there is certainly a time to discuss ones kinks but it is once some kind of knowledge of the Other has grown up and one is in dialog, to do so before is premature

The power exchange. Apart from that, I really feel a loss if I can't bite him, play with his hair, or hit him at all with anything. I can manage without doing CBT, but I don't like it so much.

I'm not huge bondage fan either...I prefer my restraints as the quick and dirty way to immobilize them...I will do some bondage if it's just enough to immobilize them. But if they want the fancy rope work they better move on cause I want to play I don't want spend too much time tussing them up like a Christmas Turkey.

Being in charge of course. CBT is very high on my list. I have a great boy that I can't do much CBT on..but he makes up for it in the floggings he can take. Back when I was looking, the only thing I listed as a "must have" (on both sides of the whip) was biting and wrestling/playfighting/sparring/whatever you wanna call it. It didn't need to be to any extreme amount of pain, but a guy can't handle me giving him a little nibble or pinning him down until he can turn the tables, I think he's a wimp. If he won't do that for me, even if I make it clear I want him to, then we're just not compatible.
