Yep... take his teleprompter away, and this is what happens:

Video - "the post office".

He was caught in a different "senior moment" as well, when he tried to claim that the AARP had endorsed his plan, when AARP has done no such thing:

And how many speeches do you give with no teleprompter? (Aside from the tireless rants here in text, I mean)

I was never packaged and sold to the American people as the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, Abe Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr, and Mahatma Gandhi all rolled into one.

I have never billed myself as the smartest, handsomest, most highly educated and enlightened being to ever walk the planet...

Barack Obama, on the other hand, has.

Really? Because I don't believe I ever recall him saying those things about himself.

He's not exactly humble.

That'd be your opinion. Funny, though, that when I said I couldn't recall him saying those things about himself, your reply was that he wasn't humble. I would have thought you'd have tried to provide PROOF of what you claimed. BUT, as is usually the case, you have none. You simply go by your interpretation of what you think is happening and then you ridicule that. It's a common thing, really. But it's still quite sad.

servantforuse -> RE: Scary facts about health care reform bill (8/11/2009 7:49:54 PM)

Chris Mathews and Brian Willians get a wet spot whenever they hear his name mentined. They do indeed think he is the chosen one.

The last humble president we had was Carter.

I don't have to show proof if I claim that the sun rises in the East or that Obama has a massive ego, that's ridiculous.

That's his most noteworthy characteristic.  [X(]

Brain -> RE: Scary facts about health care reform bill (8/11/2009 11:33:42 PM)

A senior moment? Compared to Bush the guy makes Albert Einstein look like a dummy. Everybody should have Obama’s six pack abs.

There are some strange things going on in the post office though. I saw a few weeks ago on the news a story about very expensive houses they purchased for some employees, I think in Florida, and now of course with the housing bubble those homes have significantly declined in value. The problem is he's got a million other things/disasters to straighten out now.

Some days I think Obama is watching TV and listening to these idiots screaming hysterically, "I want my country back", "I want my America back!" And I think Obama is going to impeach us instead of us impeaching him. "The government is taking over. We are becoming socialists and communists." Ridiculous. We're lucky we didn't have another depression after what those idiots on Wall Street did. Fortunately, it looks like the economy is starting to turn around and the worst is over.

As far as the age AARP goes if the Congress and the Senate passed a bill which included single-payer I think AARP might approve it. Because single-payer gives the government leverage to bring down costs and by reducing costs more money is available to improve the life of retired people. More money will be available inside of it going to excess corporate profits.

But you know, maybe the poor do have other options, they can go to emergency and owe tens of thousands of dollars and have their wages garnished and go bankrupt.

Well Loki, that's what people do here, they voice their opinions.

So then admit this is YOUR opinion, and not fact.  Because you like to state things as if we should believe them to be fact, when, in fact,  its just your opinion.  (And yes, we know all about opinions)

[sm=rofl.gif]

You really don't know yet that Barack Obama is a narcissist from hell?

You really need proof of that?

This is just surreal, you're joking. Right?

Alright, let's see. At 47, he's written two autobiographies already. He ran for Senate and before he was even seated as Senator he began running for president...

There's also the fact that on his campaign jet, he had the American flag on the tail section painted over with his "O" symbol:

http://www.nowpublic.com/culture/obama-paints-over-u-s-flag-campaign-jet

And he also had a quasi-official presidential seal drawn up during the campaign:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2008/06/20/2008-06-20_barack_obama_appears_with_personalized_p.html

Here's a picture of the ancient Roman colliseum he had recreated for his acceptance speech for the DNC nomination at Invesco Field in Denver. Do you not remember that?

http://bagnewsnotes.typepad.com/bagnews/images/MMC_DNCstage_t600.jpg

He either thinks he's a Roman god, or he "just" has a monumental ego problem. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, and say he's not insane, its just his ego.

The Boston Globe pointed out that,

quote:

There's no such thing as a humble politician. But when Obama looks into the mirror, he doesn't just see a president; he sees JFK.

In 1960, John F. Kennedy accepted his party's nomination with an outdoor speech at the Los Angeles Coliseum. But he waited until he was elected before going to Germany to declare "Ich bin ein Berliner."

How much proof do you really need?

Sanity -> RE: Scary facts about health care reform bill (8/12/2009 7:45:28 AM)

Here's a scary fact that's beyond dispute:

quote:

Obama Says Grandmother’s Hip Replacement Raises Cost Questions

April 29 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama said his grandmother’s hip-replacement surgery during the final weeks of her life made him wonder whether expensive procedures for the terminally ill reflect a “sustainable model” for health care.

The president’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, had a hip replaced after she was diagnosed with cancer, Obama said in an interview with the New York Times magazine that was published today. Dunham, who lived in Honolulu, died at the age of 86 on Nov. 2, 2008, two days before her grandson’s election victory. “I don’t know how much that hip replacement cost,” Obama said in the interview. “I would have paid out of pocket for that hip replacement just because she’s my grandmother.”

Obama said “you just get into some very difficult moral issues” when considering whether “to give my grandmother, or everybody else’s aging grandparents or parents, a hip replacement when they’re terminally ill.

“That’s where I think you just get into some very difficult moral issues,” he said in the April 14 interview. “The chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health- care bill out here.”

How much proof do you really need?

quote:

When asked about the plane's new look sans the flag on the tail, Obama campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor said, "I'd note that there is a flag on the side of Senator Obama's plane, near the center. I'd also note that there is not a flag on the tail of John McCain's plane. Lastly, I'd note that I don't think plane design should lead us to question the patriotism of either candidate."

It is probably worth mentioning that Sen. John McCain's campaign Boeing 737 plane does not feature a U.S. flag on its tail either. As this video from CNN shows, it does feature one on the side of the plane near the campaign's slogan, "Reform. Prosperity. Peace."

The video is no longer accessible. Here are pictures of both...
