and APPARENTLY i just found out that yes, indeed, you CAN have an allergic reation to the "newer, safer!" types of insulin on the market. *eyeroll* or as i told my doctor "how come i have to be special?" two days in the hospital, 3 different 'scrips for allergy medications, and two different endocrinologists saying "i've NEVER seen anyone have that sort of reaction!" later....and i'm ok. i got very lucky, i only had a rash on my face and itchiness. i could have had full on anaphlaxis, and i didnt. i just had itching bad enough i wanted to claw my face off my skull. (thank the gods for acrylic nails, cause they didnt do the damage i *could* have done if i just had my natural nails) better now. but dang. kitten
