Yeah its a big problem in the UK too, farmers are really struggling

But if they don't allow imports, then the French industries suffer also as nobody will allow them to export their cheeses, wines, chocolates etc without exorbitant taxes. You can't have it  both ways.

A search farmers riot generated a lot of hits.  Phat Pharmers riot generated some hits too.

Why are these farmers rioting?

I agree, its a bit of a double edged sword, but the fact that many stores dont stock any home grown produce seems a little off

More power to them, IMO, all basic food stuff should be grown whenever possible locally.
