Bit of a wierd question. It stems from the fact that although I am deeply masochistic in nature, I have started to question why I like watching femdom media, where a female is torturing a male victim.
On the surface it seems the answer is obvious - its because it shows a situation that one could imagine being in.
However, when I started to think about it (ouch!), I realised that if the Mistress in question wasn't inflicting pain of some sort, the video wouldn't do anything for me. Does this make me some sort of sadist by proxy - because I need to see the victim in real pain?
I have been wrestling with this argument for a fair while and haven't come to any firm conclusion on this. I have never thought of myself as a sadist and indeed inflicting pain on people holds no interest for me, yet the above thoughts lead me to the conclusion that I must be one in some shape or form and this has disturbed me a little.
What are other peoples thoughts on this? Am I just bonkers or is there a real discussion here?
