I don't know why, but the bowling idea is amusing the hell out of me. I'd envision the "ball" as a seriously attention getting weight, say 2-4 lbs. The sort of weight that, when dangling from a parachute, makes a fellow tilt forward involuntarily. Make the pins from something like 1 liter soda bottles, with a few ounces of sand in them, so they have to be hit pretty square to knock them down. Blindfold the subs, make them take a waddling head start, with the Domme yelling navigational tips. A decent waddle velocity will be required to score, and accidentally kicking the pins would be a gutter ball.
Set it up as a bracket tournament, so that winning will be a dubious honor. Maybe add another eight ounces each round. Or weighted clover clamps on other sensitive bits. Massage the affected regions of the losers with Ben Gay as a consolation prize. Or whatever. They are subs, abuse them all you want, they like it. ;)
There is a clip out there from a Mood video, where two subs are tied standing, with one arm outstretched over head. The free hand is armed with a flexible striking implement, a flogger, single tail, samjak, signal whip, what have you. They were in a competition, and exchanged lashes until one quit, or an arbitrary number was reached, and they were judged on form and composure, or something. Anyway, it was two hot foreign women bound and whipping each other, that was the important bit. But I digress. For the purposes of the contest, the obvious dilemma is to strike your opponent hard enough to force a default, without provoking a more enthusiastic response.
Maybe set it up in rounds, each pair squares off, and trades ten whacks with a given implement, one pair at a time. The next round is more strokes, and/or an unkinder implement. Doing one pair at a time would build suspense for the participants. An upper limit of strokes, allowing for an honorable draw, is probably a smart option. You don't have to let the victims know what the limit is in advance though. Keep 'em guessing.
