Thanks for the kind words, Lester. For what it's worth, I joined this site in November, 2005 and have met some fine people here. Still, it took all this time spent doing the legwork, keeping myself active and visible, and learning and sharing to yield the desired result. It was worth the wait. Not only that, but if I'd met her sooner I would not have been as well prepared. Everything happened just the way it needed to, and I just had to be patient, do my best, and let it happen.

How's that for a cornball peptalk?

Bob

Party? Well, we don't have a date set yet, but I expect to be issuing some invitations to a joyful event this year. We'll keep you posted.

thank you all for your sweet and kind words of caring and encouragement. finding your counterpart and love is possible, even through the muck that exists online. please keep the faith, and i wish you all well. may the wind always be at your back and the road be there when you pick yourself up from a fall, no matter how hard.

Boy, is she ever! Like me, she has two, and they are very sweet. Interestingly, their combined body sizes and weights would just about equal those of my smallest and cutest one. (that would be Daisy)

I just noticed an error and wanted to correct it: I joined the site in November 2004, not 2005. duh...

I noticed that and did a double take.  I figured you meant 2004!
Bob (and sylph), I am so happy for both of you.  I wish you a lifetime of happiness and song.

There's not going to be one, unfortunately. My experience with sylph was a very good one, though. Definitely a positive experience.
