Arpig -> You Still Believe (9/11/2009 3:53:37 AM)

You Still Believe Like some old-time scholars, we're down to our last two dollars with an empty fridge and a couple dozen empty beer bottles. I can't look you in the eye as you sit there and softly cry, you gently take me by the hand, 'cause you still believe in love. Though we tried to run away, we can't unsee what we've seen in dreams fuelled by codeine as we lay there on the floor. You know I'd like to tarry, but things are about to get hairy when you take my hand, 'cause you still believe in love. Once there was a time that we had everything that we needed, now you wear that old shirt like it was your wedding gown. We'll go dancing with the bikers 'cause I just got sprung from Riker's so you take me by the hand, 'cause you still believe in love. I've burned the candle at both ends just to make amends for all of my crimes and my many sins of omission, for all that I have done wrong, for the lies that went on too long, then you reach out to take my hand, 'cause you still believe in love R.
