I like and agree with your thinking/opinions Estring.... I step lightly because am new to the scene, and want to be respectful of the lifestyle and people within it, but were it not for solid foofting, some new people would quit trying to find their comfort zone, because we do come in contact with intolerant/judgemental people calling newbies "wannabes, or somehow less than" because of lesser knowledge and/skill level........... I however go with be as bad as you want to be (with other consenting adults), and find your comfort level, as long as not hurting or disrespecting anyone else (unless that is what floats their boat wink wink)... I have seen this narrow mind ness in a college setting when they re teaching being open minded. I think why we as a group is changed when it comes to being open minded is that we need to as a group. Our rights are being taken away from us when it comes to living this lifestyle and we as a group need to be more open minded to each other different kinds of fetish so we can fight for our rights to practice to live this lifestyle. I had just attended a GLLA event here in Indiana and it was more for gay leather scene but it is coming together nicely as a pansexual event. I have met some great people in the leather scene and we are growing every year. To see the diverse groups working together making it a big success makes me proud to be part of it. With every evolution your must grow and change with it or you will wither and die. The lifestyle is going through it own form of evolution so it can grow beyond what it was so we can be accepted.

It takes effort to dislike someone, it's much easier to just not bother. :) You're right, of course. I, being the attention-loving person that I am, just tend to automatically equate a lack of effort or caring as an implied, impersonal resentment on a broad level. Yes, that's sorta vain, as no one is obligated to pay me any mind, but hey, I'm cute and sweet demmit, so no attention may as well be active dislike to me. grins sheepishly
