I had a project in mind a few years ago, which I have returned to. I'm not sure what forum I should be asking for help in. Basically, the gallery that I have a show with has asked me to do something special, and I have an idea that requires having people send hand written notes in. Any idea which forum would be the best place to ask?

hmm, well. There are several artist groups under Yahoo. You might want to try them. other than that, I think this is a good place to post requests.
I would be more than happy to compose a note for you if I know what the topic was.

I am an artist as well, and Im suer you will find many on here as well. www.jasons-moon.com.
Some places you might also consider is if there is a local college that has an art department, or to go to some of the art supply stores as well and put up a posting. I know these might require a bigger effort but are some possibilities.
Also, put a posting on craigslist.com which is a posting site for virtually every city and most any topics you can imagine. Is a very good resource for an artist that has huge amounts of visitors.
