Wow.  I am SO somber this week.  Memories I have not thought about...   back in HS- I went to a private school- all male.  Well-  this was class of 81.  One year- think back- the sister school was female- chearled at our school.

Picture an all male audience and with hormones...

Well the girls- picked a disco tune.    To which the whole gym started chanting DISCO SUCKS.

The poor girls were hurt.  were crying---

Afterwards we got one heck of a lecture from the faculty.  "do you have any idea how rude that was?"

I doubt many heard the lecture...  anyhow- it was one of many type of incidents that went on....

i was a cheerleader before college... and let me tell ya.. that stuff happened on a regular basis. what they don't show you is when the coach, afterwards, puts garbage cans in each of the four corners of the gym and makes you run until you puke in at least two of them.

..it was still funny, nonetheless. :P

Cheerleaders have nice toned legs.       I appreciate that.

That's known as building character.

Remember, if it's painful and humiliating, it builds character, if you enjoy it, it's being lazy. That's why sports are fun...

i'm pretty sure what my coach had called "building character" was making us practice outside, in the dark, on concrete.   I remember her saying something about trust.....
