Status: offline 		some people will naturally defer to others, and some people need a kick in the ass to do so, but they end up being right where they want to be.

Sorta the internal-external slavery take on the idea, I suppose. But you know me, I find it too tiring to elaborate, give an example or two, hope you catch on.

Ah yes, nature vs. nurture again. I dislike the genetic theory of "slaves" as much as I do dominants for exactly the same reasons. While there is, of course, some of both involved, I personally detest giving up the entirety of my CONTROL of a situation by declaring it as out of my hands -- it's just fate -- or genetics.

Nope, I'm afraid that if Carol died and I met some other woman that I liked, I'd be doing my damndest to teach her to enjoy submission. I also happen to believe that there's a pretty good chance I'd succeed for an awful lot of women (although clearly not all). The fact that Carol is naturally submissive offers a nice starting point for making a slave. But I could think of lots of ways to start from more generally balanced or even dominant viewpoints and get there. I'm not suggesting for a moment that there's any merit in trying to put square pegs in round holes. But what I do think is humans are WAY more complex than simplistic labels can account for.

MM. You get enough of that kind of unreal email and you will put it in your profile as a hard limit, hoping to not get emails from those types in the future. Doesn't work, because the unreal types don't read profiles.

Entering it, no, if it's been laid out ahead of time. But people who want this don't normally say so. They wait till after the collar is on and then change the rules. Same as accepting that a woman is straight, not bi, and monogamous. Month after the collar "you will be punished if you don't get another woman to join us in bed this weekend".

Lots of unreasonable types out there.


And to keep doing what doesn't work isn't very reasonable either.

just a few random thoughts to consider while you ponder the.dark.'s statements:
 
innate red-heads are not the "average" person...(unless you are at a redheads convention)...they are genetic mutants and make up less than 2% of the world's population.
 
their skin does not react to the sun as the "average" person's skin does because they lack the necessary levels of melanin needed to prevent UV-induced DNA damage.
 
throughout history, redheads have been prized in some cultures and condemned (sometimes to death) in others...leaving social stigma for generations of redheads to have to deal with.

Ok, this just brought back a memory, I have no idea why. I and my former master once knew another submissive, I don't think she identified as a slave or it was before the days when the distinction was made, I forget which. She had a dirt phobia. She really wanted my master to dominate her on occasion, but when he'd order her to do things like like lick his feet, she couldn't deal with it. His feet weren't particularly dirty, but in her mind all feet were dirty. And she always hired a maid service to clean her apartment because she said she couldn't deal with cleaning up dirt herself, it sickened and frightened her. So I guess a slave could have a phobia like that. But if they did, it's probably one of those little things they should let the dominant know about up front.

Not to hijack my own thread or anything (rolls eyes at self) but that's a very interesting idea. I am very different in my approach/experiences. I cannot help but love the person I serve. Maybe love is the wrong word. Worship? Adore? Throw myself in front of them to take a bullet? That's the feeling that I mean. While it's not the reason I seek out service, it's just something that happens to me in a sexual-emotional control relationship, the more I feel that connection, whatever name you give it, the more it inspires me to serve better. Maybe I was a dog in a past life? Or will be in a future life, yikes!
