I apolgize if this question is posed in the wrong forum but I can not find anyplace to ask a help question. When I click on a chatroom it says to type in the box above. However, there is no box above that allows you to type into. Can anyone help?

I'm using IE, and it works for me. Are you using a more rare browser?

Go to the main page on CM.  On the left side you will see a row of buttons you can click on.  One will say "help", click that and you will see a list of common problems.  Chatroom and private chat feature not loading is the 4th one down.

Am using Firefox which the help section says is supported. Tried it with IE same result.

I read that section. I have Java installed, turned off my firewall and used both IE and Firefox without any change.

If a box is not visible, it is most often a Firefox add-on.

You need something called Java, specifically the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). It's a programming language that many people use to create web-page-based chatrooms, including this collarme one and you can't see/use these programs unless you have java installed. You said firefox? Just having the plugin isn't enough. You also need to install the JRE.

Here's what you need to know for that browser:
