Nikolette -> Asher BDSM manslaughter case info (3/5/2006 10:37:31 PM)

Here are a couple links I found when searching about this. I'd heard a bit about it because I live in Boston and it was big news.

http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2006/01/18/two_sides_see_little_evidence_in_trial_of_quincy_dominatrix/

http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2006/01/31/dominatrix_acquitted_of_manslaughter/

The second one is the most recent update.

I don't know how anyone else feels about these case details... but assuming that she DID confess to the police... I donno... its a terrible reflection about the content of some people's character in the BDSM lifestyle... and so disappointing. (Not that people in the BDSM lifestyle have a general lowered sense of ethics, but rather how it looks to others from the outside.)

the tragedy here is how the police have lost the confidence of the people. although the cop didn't keep is notes and there was no vidtape, he DID make a formal report tohis watch commander.
this woman did not take the stand. Her telephone call to the victims wife (Apologizing} may not have been admissable in court.
Her defence was merely that nothing ever happened. The jury apparantly believed that the police had made up the confession.
why they would do that is unknown.
There is no doubt that she did assist in the dismembering and discarding ofthebody, there is some doubt as to how he died. nevertheless, She is back inbusiness as is her right.
