but yet other recipee's only call for 5 to 10, so is 40 to 60 minutes sound right to you?

when I roast pumpkin seeds, I wash them of very well, discarding ALL the stringy part, put them on cookie sheet that has been sprayed with PAM or other non-stick spray, and salt to taste. I then roast them in a 375 degree oven for about 50 minutes. I've never had a bad batch this way.

They're out, and yeah the other recipes I found and one my dad had did indeed call for 40 mins/.

I thought one has to dry them out of a period of days before baking them.

Nope, you don't infact I think they're better when as fresh out of the pumpkin as possible.

The oven dries them. I will say I always seem to use tons of salt on roast seeds. Despite how unhealthy I know it is.
