This can only mean one thing: time to fill up the moat around my house.

when you say blessings, this is a great time to me ask- what specifically is your reference???

Look up "Halloween" on wikipedia or other search engines.
It origionated in Ireland and in gaelic is called "Sam hein" pronounced "sowen."

when I say  "may the blessings be" it is from my TURK gypsy background and a SUFI
saying meaning..."sacred breathe from the higher power of YOUR understanding.."and "may it sustain you...'

I am not familiar with the hein spelling...?

but........

Old IRISH..SAMAIN...SAMUIN..SAMFUIN..LATHA NA SAMNA..
Goth: SAMNA
GAUL..SAMNIOS..
ALSO CALLED SAMHUINN AND SAUIN..

sam meaning summer...thus summer's end

IT BECAME ASSOCIATED WITH All souls day  (CHRISTIAN absorbtion)) ALL HALLOWS EVE TO Hallowmass AND EVENTAULLY MORPED TO HALLOWEEN

NOV 1.. IS the  CELTIC FEAST OF Samhain..AND THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW YEAR..
The evening before is all/some of the above depending who you are and your roots..or "path"

"take what you want and leave the rest"

GM, that sounds like a mouthfull, can't you just say like, "G'Day" or something?

GYPSYMAMBO -> RE: Happy All Hallows and NEW YEAR (10/31/2009 12:04:22 PM)

sure... g'day mate...[:D]
it is like namaste( India?)...which mean "I see the divine in you and you see the divine in me"

and ty for the SAMHEIN spelling  yes..FEAST OF THE SUN>.Ireland..
