We are a couple that has been looking to add another sub girl to our household. We want to date the person for awhile and form a long term relationship and eventually move them into our extra bedroom. People have told me stories of this working but it seems like everybody that we get contacted by or contact wants to rush things or is just mentally unstable. Has anybody got this to work? What methods did they use to find the person, and how long did it take before deciding they were the one you want to bring in to your house?

How long did you date from when you started dating until you found each other? Ten years, twenty? Then why would you think it would take less to find the right person for this? In fact it should take longer because you both have to fall in love with her and she with both of you. Plus of course you have a smaller field of people interested in this to begin with.

There's actually a forum here devoted entirely to poly.  It's here: http://www.collarchat.com/forumid_57/tt.htm

Try reading through it.  You'll learn lots!

Depends on what you mean by making it work.  My ex- and I had a year and a half long poly relationship.  I hadbout a year and a half long poly relationship.  I don't place odds on them working but relationships aren't about odds.
Welcome to CM and as Steven suggested, check out the poly forums.

we have been very successful..... of course.... both girls sleep with me in my King size bed. I actually came across Kyra in an online environment and spent several months talking to her on the phone, email and echat until we finally met. But when we met it validated everything we learned of each other and then it was just a question of when we could move her in with us not if.

With all due repect, you are 24 and 22, what is the rush? don't you think you two should spend some time developing your relationship before considering adding another? IF I were considering such an addition I would definitely stay local, take it real slow, like what is mentioned, a year, year and a half. learn about the individual, become friends first and then maybe

For us, wed had been married for about 5 years before we considered poly.  We are coming up on our 3 year anniversary with our girl this year, who we were friends with and later realized we had be in a sense courting for a year before we realized it and took the leap into poly exploration.

Adding a slave to an existing household and particularly within a marriage, presents challenges for any 3rd one in and all concerned must be prepared for usually, a long gestation period.

As for the quality of those with whom you've been in contact, I am surprised because I've seen many seemingly very acceptable, young bi, femsubs very interested and often exclusively interested in a polyhouse with a couple.

OP:

I lived with 2 men for 20 years..one for 20..and 3 others in that time..for 3,5, and 6 years..
The most important thing is that it was polyAMOUROUS..=love..
They were my beloveds not polyfukkery partners.
NOW.. polyfukkery partners is fine too..one just must be honest WITH ALL and upfront and know their intent as to WHAT they are BUILDING..

THE FIRST relationship must be VERY VERY VERY solid first..
in order to carry/embrace a third person...as part of a cohesive and harmonious UNIT.
