then again...i might just call everyone after the holidays and ask if the card i sent was one of those destroyed when a mail truck smashed into a truck full of cow manure... saves on stamps

I assume it's because of all the changes from truck to truck, and that both the US and Canada postal systems want to be paid for their work.

I sent mine out weeks ago. Of course, they were for 1978.
