And in the battle between the White House and Fox news, the loser is...

A nice, friendly bit of coverage.  I just wonder where the irony was in calling Mother Theresa her other favorite political philosopher...

rulemylife -> RE: Another one bites the dust (11/14/2009 10:07:23 AM)

Obama's 'rapid response' advocate had planned to step down even before her conflict with Fox News. Her deputy, Dan Pfeiffer, is expected to follow in her aggressive footsteps when he takes over.

No shit?

I've always wanted to own a bridge in Brooklyn.

It's been my lifelong dream.  Send me the details to my CM mail.

But meanwhile, you might want to read the link.

My post was directly from it.

You apparently dont understand what the BB reference means. Yes, your post was directly from the link, the point is that you are so gullible that you believe it.

Musicmystery -> RE: Another one bites the dust (11/14/2009 10:30:41 AM)

I see missing irony is catching.

Or more likely, willful.

There is no irony in his last two statements, he actually thought that was a response to my post.

Speaking of irony, Tim, do you have a theory on how one of her two favorite political philosophers was an intended irony she expected high schoolers to catch, but the other she mentioned at the same time wasn't intended that way?

popeye1250 -> RE: Another one bites the dust (11/14/2009 12:15:50 PM)

This just tells me that we're getting the wrong type of people in government.
Remember Clinton and his group of young, inexperienced, recent college graduates that everyone called, "The Dorm?"
They couldn't figure out which "ethnic group" was getting "cleansed" in Bosnia! lol
"Gee, they went to college so they must know what they're doing, right?"

Heretic,

It could be because Mother Teresa was NOT a political philosopher at all.  However. . . with all of her "hospital" work (I cannot think of the term for it) she actually followed a philosophy of suffering.  She really was not that nice of a person.

Are you so gullible you actually believe he didn't get the Brooklyn Bridge reference?
Is sarcasm that lost an art?

Ya know, Rich, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop assuming I'm an apologist for anyone.

Just out of curiosity, you called this "A nice, friendly bit of coverage" -- what would an objective journalist have written, then?

Keeping in mind there's a difference between news coverage and news commentary (where yes, that'd be my first question).

Fellow -> RE: Another one bites the dust (11/14/2009 3:09:18 PM)

I guess Obama has consulted with Vladimir Putin how to treat news media.

????

Name a single President who hasn't warred with the media.

TheHeretic -> RE: Another one bites the dust (11/14/2009 3:40:48 PM)

"A nice, friendly bit of coverage?"  It looks like they went straight off a press release from the White House communications office for the lead.

I wasn't asking you apologize for anyone.  You'll note the same question I asked you was the question I asked in the OP.

servantforuse -> RE: Another one bites the dust (11/14/2009 7:10:24 PM)

You should pick your battles. This is a fight that the white house will regret starting..
