Federal stimulus money paid to non-existent Pennsylvania congressional districts Full Story Here "Five Pennsylvania congressional districts that don't exist received a combined $12.6 million in federal stimulus money that created or saved 32.2 jobs, according to the Web site the Obama administration created to track how stimulus money is spent. Pennsylvania has 19 congressional districts, numbered 1 through 19. But according to Recovery.gov, Pennsylvania's nonexistent 00 Congressional District received $6.7 million that helped create or save 7 jobs, the biggest allocation to a phantom district in this state. Stimulus money went to the imaginary 21st, 23rd, 65th and 96th districts in Pennsylvania, the Web site said." ****************** Now I realize the issue of raw data having to be scrubbed and corrected but there is a fine line between scrubbing and grooming for effect. This is just another example of why I do not get a warm fuzzy feeling about the Feds taking over health care. Obsess... err, discuss.[;)]
