This happened while I was in my second year Chemistry at an Upstate NY college.

The professor wanted to show us how titrating concentrated acids and bases would produce salt water. He set up the experiment, carefully titrated the two dangerous chemicals using an indicator dye to show when the proper end point was reached. He then drank the resulting glass of salt water right before our eyes.
Forgetting that the active ingredient in the indicator dye is the same active ingredient in the most powerful laxatives known to man.
...
Class was let out early

ahhh yesssssssssssssssssssssssss .  Phenolphtalein.  I had a friend in college who had 3 roommates and noone would admit to eating the eclairs he brought home from the bakery... so he injected one of them with about a cc of the stuff and went to class.  When he got back, the culprit had installed seat belts on the john.

Moral of the story... NEVER fuck with a chemist
