As Aquaticsub said in another thread. "You can always sit. it's just a matter of how many pillows you need" [:D]

Take it from me Wyld, there is just no good way to explain that at work unless it's winter. In that case it's possible to say "I slipped on the ice" and get lots of sympathy from people who have no idea that I got a good beating and my ass is a festival of colors.

Housework can't kill you, but why take a chance?

DesFIP -> RE: Why not to do housework!!! (11/22/2009 5:04:20 PM)

White glove inspection? Now that's cruel and unusual punishment. But I do say I'm not getting up on ladders to clean so if it's above my reach, it isn't my problem. I have no intention of falling off a chair.

He can see it, he can deal with it.

Brownies and home made cookies serve as distraction from cookies here.

Which reminds me, I made a batch of milk chocolate biscotti to take to Thanksgiving and he's eaten half of it. Need to go make more damn it.

Phoenixpower -> RE: Why not to do housework!!! (11/22/2009 5:15:15 PM)

already as a child I  was not born for housework...always when I was told to tidy up my room, I rearranged it instead (moved furnitures around my room, etc)...so well, not my fault that it is not in my genes, innit? [8|]

Now. . . you did get that batch for me in the mail, right?  Or did The Man eat those also?

As my favorite teacher and super scary nun Sister Theresa used to say: "A closed closet hides a multitude of sins". In other words: Forget house work, all you have to do is shove it in the closet. As long as you can still close the door, its clean.

Llyren -> RE: Why not to do housework!!! (11/22/2009 5:32:04 PM)

Which works just fine, as long as you stick with paper plates.

Sorry Llyren I just don't see a problem there. It means no need for cleanup which leaves more time for play [:D]

This is too funny, my excuse with my old master was that I have allergies and asthma but he always knew I was just trying to get out of doing it so I always got my ass busted anyway... (not that I minded to much being a masochist, LOL)

If you have furbabies.. you are never fully dressed unless they have shed on your outfit. (truly,I do feel naked without cathair on me SOMEWHERE)

We always just shoved it under the beds......once a month, my mom would take a rake to it......well, not really, but that's what she said!

And I must be a long lost relative, cuz housework ain't in my genes either!

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: Why not to do housework!!! (11/22/2009 6:54:55 PM)

I can clean the shit out of someone elses house, and I am using that word figuratively and not literally and enjoy it,  I even enjoy helping others organize their things, but when it comes to my stuff and cleaning uh hell no.

Any cat owner will tell you there is absolutely, positively NO WAY to keep cat hair off your clothing, bedding, furniture, carpets, curtains......it's EVERYWHERE!!!!!!  I cleaned the blades of my ceiling fan off for the first time, and it was even stuck up there!!!!!!!

And the warm laundry is their favorite place...and man, they are fast!!!!  I put the hamper down, turn away to put some away, and by the time I turn around, they are up in it, kneading and with that happy blissful "AAAAAHHHHHHH" look on their little faces!  Of course, not wanting to disturb them is another reason to put off putting it away!  [8D]

I was agreeing with you.  But should have elaborated.  I chose paper plates, because dirty china plates don't do well in a closet.  Though I must admit, since I do live alone, I will just bring the cookie sheet with the tater tots on it with me to the computer, thereby removing the need for a dish.

And yes, cat hair gets -everywhere-.  I keep my 'special' toys in an old popcorn tin, which has a good lid.  However, I will pull out a silicone whathaveyou, and have to go wash off the cat hair.
