This does not surprise me at all as adultery is punishable by death according to the Sharia. I was only 2 years old at the time but my father was in the US Air Force and we lived in Morrocco. When we were cleaning out the house, there was a handbook from the military regarding Muslim customs. One of the rules was a male does not ask another Muslim male how their wives were doing because that would raise suspicion of adultery.

The freedoms we take for granted are not available to other people in parts of the world. I wonder how we might feel and act if these or similar laws applied in our own countries? Would you suppress or redirect your desires; would you still try to reliase them, would you leave.....??? For my part i think that growing up under such a system, my desires would be redirected to a more destructive path - for me and for others.Such is the damage that oppressive laws bring to society.
