What are you thankful for?

I am thankful . . .  

As I write this, everhope, whom I met on these very forums, is in the kitchen slaving away over a 20lb turkey.  She mentioned that I might drop in here at CollarMe and start a thread.

I gave the idea some thought and realized that there are more than a handful of people in my life because of contact initially made through these forums.  I can only imagine the same is true for many of you.  So this thread, besides the normal family, lovers and friends tributes, is to remember that I am thankful for all the wonderful people I have met courtesy of these forums. 

I have seen a spectrum of human interaction conducted on these forums.  From intelligent debates, ridiculous fights, relationships begin (and end), marriages and a host of newcomers in our community blossom as they learn about who they are and how they fit into this wonderful world of kink. 

I have met fellow forum members and formed friendships and love relationships.  Being a member of this forum has enriched my life because CollarMe lets us make contact with each other through posts like this one. 

I am thankful for all the love and friendship in my life, some of which started on these forums.

i have to say...."What RS said..." im coming to this thread from Master's home, (met here) and talking to people i am honored to call my friends (met here) and keeping the computer away from the other occupant (conceived here...j/k)....

im thankful for the health of everyone i know, the love that they all have in their lives, and the peace we all can have in knowing that at least we all have eachother.

Happy Turkey Day to everyone....

I am thankful for color and music and smell - all the senses that make life full of passion.

I am thankful for my aunt and uncle who have absolutely made me part of their family - with zero restrictions.  I am loved unconditionally.

I am thankful for the joy I feel in anticipation and the sadness with disappointment - it means I have hope.

I am thankful that my family is in my life at last.

I am thankful for my friend who keeps me on track.  And never makes fun of or chastises me for having a hard time. 

I am thankful for my body, healthy and strong, and how it tells me what it needs.

I am thankful I can listen to it in a way I couldn't before.

I am thankful that I can love.

i am thankful for the get well emails and cards and other stuff.
 
i am thankful for the skill of my surgeons.
 
i am thankful for the people who make me laugh and for whom i have to cover my computer with plastic wrap to keep food and drink out of the keyboard. 
 
i am thankful for the CMers i have met in the flesh and the ones i will meet in the future.

I'm thankful for everything in the universe, good, bad, & indifferent . .. . .

& I'm thankful for my rich full life & all the many wonderful friends & family & lovers & so on & so forth, even when they annoy the heck out of me.

I'm thankful I can be annoyed. I'm grateful for all that I feel, cuz feelings are wonderful, even when they suck horribly. Life's continuous rollercoaster of emotion, it would be so boring without . .. .

I'm thankful for all the fucked up, icky, horrible stuff cuz resisting & resenting it hasn't gotten me anything but disgruntled . . . . . .

I'm thankful for all the people I don't like & not just cuz it helps me appreciate the ones I like so much more . . . . . .

I like this quote, it sorta says something important about these ideas in a way that has particularly amusing implications for a bunch o' kinksters:

I'm thankful for my Daddy & his wife who care for me so much & show me every day how worthy I am.
I'm thankful for my East Coast Surrogate Daddy who has helped me in so many ways since I have been on this coast.
I'm thankful for Red, DB, Trapped & DC & others from this site who have rallied round me.
I'm thankful that I sucked up my courage & went to the monkey wedding & met so many wonderful people who are still important in my life today.
I'm thankful that if I had to get fired, it was in New Jersey & not Kansas somewhere.
I'm forever thankful that I have my wonderful family to support me throughout my life.

1. Being blessed with the most beautiful, loving, sensitive, supportive, kindhearted Master in the entire world;

2. My beautiful fur-family - my four cats who i believe are gifts from God, and their unconditional love and support they give me every day;

3. All my friends who i love dearly, and who love and support me in all my good days and hardship.

I am thankful for:

My family... a wonderful Dad, two great kids, siblings who sometimes make me crazy - but they're mine.

My Master... a fine man, who many years ago, looked out of His window at work and saw a girl He didn't know, crying ouside her office, and who took the time to see if that girl was ok because He has a good heart.  He was the one who introduced me to CM, and for that I will always be grateful.

My CM friends... I have met some of the finest human beings on here - they make me laugh, are there when I cry, support me while I support them, invite me to be part of their lives, and we are actively invested in the hopes and dreams of one another.

My job... even though it causes me stress at times, it is a good job and I am grateful that it provides for the necessities of me and my family.

My computer... a gift from my Dad 4 years ago.  It has been well used and keeps me connected to the lot of you in this fuzzy little corner of the world-wide web.

I am ever so grateful that Linnea did this.  We were ROOMMATES!  It was wonderful.
