Christmas is coming and this being my first D/s relationship, what would be an approriate christmas gift?

What would all you Doms, daddies, Masters, Sirs and the list goes on for titles, think is a good gift. What would YOU like to see from your sub, slave, babygirl etc.

I'm getting him an Ipod. He must be the last man in America who doesn't own one. Plus the cord that plugs into the lighter so you can run it through the radio.

FR-

What would be an appropriate gift if it were a NON D/s relationship? Giving someone a gift should always be based on their likes/dislikes, etc. D/s should have little to do with it.

I don't think it is any different to get a gift for a D/s partner than any other. You've been together for 6 months. What are his interests? Hobbies? Preferences? I will be getting my partner nothing for Christmas because he wants me to have money available for our move in the spring. I'm not happy about that, but he is a practical man and knows we will be needing the cash. I will still probably send him a card though.

If you are looking at this as something that's going somewhere, then focus on things that are uniquely him (and we can't help you there LOL). If it seems like you are on track to be more of a kinky play partner, then perhaps a new toy could be nice. Really it depends where you are in developing things. The most important thing is that it is given from the heart and something you hope will bring him joy.

Just because a relationship dynamic is D/s based is not to say the individuals concerned don't have outside interests.

In fact, I'd certainly hope any sub I'd own does have personal interests/hobbies etc so she's not looking to me to keep her "entertained" 24/7.... lol

I need "me time", too.

Focus.

Sigh....this is another reason I hate this time of year. I'm not allowed to purchase anything for Sir....nothing. Actually, I can't buy anything regardless of the occasion.

It makes it very difficult to come up with ideas that won't cost money.

I just buy silly little stocking fillers and put them in a sack at the end of his bed. They are just tokens that say 'I saw this and I thought of you'

Big ol' geek that I am, a Lego Star Wars ship model that I don't already have.

Aqua and I have been together for four years, and we've yet to give each other d/s related presents. Not once.

I need a new set of socket wrenches. Anti-freeze spilled all over mine and they're kind of corroded now. That and the new Robert Jordan book and a copy of the Boondock Saints on Blu-Ray and I'd be a happy man.

However, I don't think my Christmas list is generally appropriate for any Dom who happens to be wandering along. Gifts should always be special to the individual who matters to you.

I think I may go with clothes lol

He's really big into working out, but I have no clue what He needs, if anything. I do know that He doesn't have many warm shirts and with winter coming I was thinking a nice sweater. He wears layers, so maybe a nice sweater or two. And as I said, He works out and has a pretty nice body *drools* so maybe a style to nicely accentuate that :)

If he's big into working out and you're looking for something form-fitting to flatter his figure, you might try something from Under Armour as a holiday gift. From what I hear, this stuff's great to get sweaty in.

Whatever he likes. The d/s orientation doesn't really mean you have to follow any particularly guidelines, other than what he tells you, for his gift.

Like Val said, I'll probaby get him some legos. Unless I think of something amazingly clever. We always get each other gifts that relate to our hobbies and non d/s interests.

Well, in the past I've bought MasterK a flogger, a Mets Jacket, a straightjacket. This year I bought him a set of DVDs I know he'll love. An appropriate gift will be anything you know he'll enjoy.

Will second that and someone that works out regularly looks good in it as every day outer wear. It soon becomes hard to say "can you please put on a regular button down that makes you look fat and not so sexy".

I prefer Him naked, but we don't always get what we want lol

Valyraen - That stuff in that link was nice, but a little pricey for me. I will just go to a store close to home and pick out something nice. Thanks though :)
