Having recently started playing with the VW with my sub (great fun by the way!) I do have a few questions that I would appreciate getting some help with. I have searched the forums for answers but it is very much like the needle and haystack!

First question is is there a cream / lotion that can be applied before play that would minimise the rash that appears after. We both like the rash and have no problems with it but if I can find a barrier cream to lessen then we could play for longer.

Second is very much like the first as in is there a cream or lotion / oil that INCREASES the sensation of the sparks? (not ones that would ignite my sub in glorious flames!!)

Many thanks in anticipation.

Can't tell you about any creams, but a really simple way to ramp up the sensation of the sparks is to hold the wand a little further away from the skin - the wand has to build up extra charge to "jump" the gap, resulting in a bigger zap.

EDIT - Also, if you do find a cream for the rash, just *tell* your sub the cream is to make the VW hurt a little more.  Look up the "nocebo" effect sometime.  The human mind is a powerful thing - just as a sugar pill placebo can relieve pain and increase healing time if described properly, the same pill can bring on pain, nausea, or even rashes when described another way.

Sure, I'll Dungeon Master for you. Do you like Eberron? ...oh. That kind of dungeon.

Is it just me or do Theatre Majors make excellent play partners?

Many thanks for that - it seems from what others are telling me creams are available for use afterwards and I will try some of them.

The most interesting comment I have had was try deepheat!! - Well maybe I will - could be fun!
