I waited 2.5 years before I could see my girl for the very first time. The first 2 involved NOTHING more than text chat on MSN, no photos of her, no webcam of her, no phone calls, nothing. I didn't even know if she was who she said she was. But she was mine, and we fell in love, and made it work. When I saw her picture for the first time I was relieved and very happy - she was so pretty. It went from her being just what I wanted, to her being just what I wanted AND hot as hell. :) Another half a year later and we could finally be together - for four nights. Heaven. Then another YEAR without, and another five nights, and then a few more visits and she was here for good. Well, until a few months ago. *cries*
Yes, it's very frustrating when you can't be together. I tried to make the longing into a good thing, by saying "at least we know we love each other and want each other". It kinda helped.
