CelticSubM, i am glad then CM doesn't do what you think would be the answer to weeding out personas on cm.  I have seen what lists have done to our world. First will be them, then who else. Don't think that happens? Read up on history. Next thing they will be doing is getting rid of Jewish pagan submissives....which is me. I know what it is to been on a list ages ago...i never will support blackballing in any way or form

One thing I'd like to see here is one of those pictograph things, the verification ones to make sure it's a real person sending something, you know the ones that have random letters and numbers that you have to put in to the box before being able to send cmail/etc...  I think that would be a very easy thing to implement into the site and would cut down on spam a great great deal.

EDIT:  And possibly even when signing up for an account, so that spam accounts are created less often.  It seems to be pretty common practice on many sites/forums nowadays.

i have noticed a LOT of awful pics lately of blow jobs, intercourse, and some other very blatant sexual things. i guess they must have changed there policy, because that stuff wasn't allowed before. i must say i liked it the other way.

The primary pictures are still judged slightly differently still than the secondaries when reported: you have a choice if you choose to look at pictures 2-14, so possibly, those are looked at a bit differently on review;you have a choice to look at those, but you dont on the primary. If you feel there is a picture that might be against our rules, by all means click my link and it will show you where the report button is on a profile( I used the OP's picture for clarity [;)])I If you see wandering penii or slashy gashy on the primary, feel free to report it. ( Our reviewers cant get enough of that I tell ya,lol). The button works for 2-14 also, but I tend to tilt my head sideways and squinch my eyes just in case when looking at those....just sayin)

I confess I get a giggle from the unit pics. There is a local POC who has his erect part photgraphed next to a half-gallon milk carton, for scale one presumes.

I don't think we truly disagree as strongly as you seem to think. I'm all for tolerance. I say, always better to err on the side of inclusiveness. Still, as the old saying goes, you have to draw the line somewhere. Perhaps I'm mistaken, maybe it's some fetish that I've never heard of, but I don't think anyone signed on here to meet 65 pound Nigerian submissives or to get solicited for pay web cam sites. I do happen to think CM would be better off if they did what I suggest. I don't expect or demand that. I'd be happy if they would just effectively enforce the standards they have already promulgated.

Unless it fell off the page recently, or unless I'm thinking of something else, CAPTSHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) has been on the signup page for a little while.

Ah, I don't recall that one.  It's been a while since I've seen the sign up page.  On messages/notes/cmail though, it would be very nice to see.

Well no, Termy not all of us would because it's a slippery slope and who knows where it wuld end.  Maybe you would but please don't assume we all would.

Actually, come to think of it, there's a noticeable absence of elbows.

I wonder if it occurs to anyone that those who do not like this very open web site, could quite easily destroy it, by posting illegal imagery, such imagery that will be picked up by internet watchdogs and there what comes, comes.

I think the relaxation on image rules, is a very bad idea, as there are many who do not like our freedom of expression, and would take great delight in seeing what they believe is perverted material swept off the web.

CelticSubM -> RE: ok or there no rules in collerme.com any more? (12/2/2009 2:03:22 AM)

CM isn't selling images, so any civil or criminal liability connected with anything posted would lie solely with the poster under US law. Section 230 of the Communctions Decency Act is very explicit on that point: "No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider. " Of courses, laws differ in other nations. Just about anything is likely to be "illegal" in some sense, somewhere in the world. CM is based in the States, and the ablity of foreign courts to enforce judgments here would be very limited. At worst, CM might be barred from having a direct presence in some countries, but it doesn't really need that, so that's not likely to be an issue.

It's much more likely that CM and similar sites could be "destroyed" by an influx of commercial listings. Many Usenet groups now consist of very little besides commercial postings. It could happen here. CM's terms of service do state "You may not use the Website to advertise products or services", but little effort is made to enforce that provision. Ostensibly, the site relies on user flagging of profiles, but there are lots of profiles with terms such as "financial domination" or "professional dominatrix" that have been up for months or years.

vixenkneels -> RE: ok or there no rules in collerme.com any more? (12/2/2009 6:15:59 AM)

While I haven't seen anything like the OP has seen here on CM I have in fact turned in a so-called dominant's profile photo to administration because the man's primary profile photo is one of him holding an INFANT in his arms. I find the photo distasteful and without a place in any BDSM website.

Unfortunately, I checked to see if CM's administration had done anything about that profile yesterday (thinking the update CM performed might handle it) but found the profile still displaying the photo.

You don't describe the context of the photograph. Perhaps it is indeed distasteful. You seem to be suggesting that the mere presence of an infant, even in an ordinary family picture type setting, is distasteful. That seems a very curious attitude. Some people with listings on CM are parents. It may be important to them that their profile reflect the importance of their children in their lives. I can't think why anyone would find that objectionable.
