Most safety issues have already been covered, but I have one more to add. When it comes time to buy one do your research and do not skimp. A cheaply made tens can cause all sorts of problems, especially as it wears over time. Also note that units made in foreign countries may require adapters if you wish to use them with domestic toys. Some cheap ones require adapters to work with their own brand of toys. Also unless you're an electrician or extremely handy, do not make your own using the plans that can be found online. Doesn't take too many crossed wires to start a fire or give a serious shock.

With many things, you get what you pay for. It's worthwhile to spend a little more on something quality, and look for one with multiple channels so more places ca be stimmed.

I agree with Aanakaris. I have come across this problem with foreign TENs units. A previous Dom used one on me once and all of our stuff from the American TENs unit wouldn't plug in. It ended up being a waste of money until he purchased the right connectors, i had unfortunately already moved on. But Anakaris is correct, do your homework first, and never buy the cheapest one!

He also put them on my nipples which i had not known at the time was a serious no-no. I'm actually okay, fortunately, but i will never allow somebody to do that again.

Try the anal e-toys, feels like someone is having their way with you : ).

I was prescribed a TENS unit for neck pain in High school.

I was prescribed one about 3 years ago for neck problems following an automobile accident. It has 4 electrodes. I've not tried it for anything other than my neck/shoulder pain. Is something like that safe? Its not a cheap one at $1,600.00.

I have that very one, EMPI 300 PV retails around 1300-1600 bucks, which I will sell for around $250 bucks.

My other one I would never sell.

Fortunately I didn't have to pay for this thing. My PIP company did. But, if its good for "other" uses, I'd be interested. LOL

Thanks I'll do that. I always thought that electrical play would be a hard limit now I'm not so sure.

Well, I was posting about being prescribed mine for a neck injury in response to the people saying how it should never be used above the neck. But yes, you can use something like that. That's how I got into estim. Some might prefer something like the Erostek ET312B to a TENS because the TENS units don't generally go up as high into the painful intensity as the high end boxes made for bdsm. However, it sounds like you're in great shape vs. the average estim beginner who has a cheap TENS knockoff.

The advice I'd give you is:

!. Check out http://www.smartstim.com/ it's the best forum to learn about estim, it's a bit of a pain to get registered but it's worth it.

2. You can use all the different brands accessories; you just have to be mindful of which adapters you'll need.
