Status: offline 		I dont know if it is morals, ethics, values or etiquite.

We have been spending the last several monthes courting a slave, had her under a collar of consideration. We looked up on her profile to find to our dismay that she has herself listed as owned and that she is relocating soon. She did not even tell us that she was being considered by someone else.

I find it very distressful to find out this type of information like this. She could have told us that she found a better suited match for her. We would have removed her collar with out a question. It was that she did not even tell us. ALSO!!! I am a slave... I was under the thought that if you were under consideration by a Master, you dont go talking to some other Master... let alone take their collar with out even telling the FIRST Master that you were committed to.

I am sorry for the rant... but this just really has me a bit upset. When did the protocal for slaves go out the window?

I think that at this point, I am glad that we did not pay for her to come here fulltime. I would have been out money too, not just time.

Okay... LA... you got me there. I agree with your above statements. But we hold very true to our beliefs... we dont lie or hide what we are or what we do. I guess that we were just looking for one that held to the same beliefs... which is not this slave. I know that. Hopefully we will have better luck next time.

As for the rant. It's all good some people are just on here for games. As with all things in life people are only going to be as genuine as their own moral fiber allows. The standards that I hold for myself and mine are going to be different from ours, your masters or LA's. Part of finding someone will join a poly is hard enough. Finding someone that will mesh with the values that you and your master hold to is going to be more difficult. Look at it this way, at least you found out now and not after you've gone on a cross country adventure to move her to join your household.

Ok, flip this coin! What about the Doms.. <sub scorned here?.. yeah a little but what the hell> I have been sitting here for past 2 days.. awaiting the arrival of my Master. Not for a first time meet either. But for an actual move that was suppose to start the begining of our lives.

He was suppose to be between 12 noon and 3pm. Here I sit at 11:21 pm and not a single damn word. Everyway I could of contacted him is no longer there because of "this move". All trust and faith I had in this man is gone now. Have I over reacted premature? Maybe, maybe not. But does it really mater when the trust .... the faith ... has been breached?

And now you come and rant about how Subs have no morals, ethics, values, or etiquite. What about the Doms that are suppose to have these as well?

Does it not dawn on you that Subs can and do put as much time, effort, heart, soul into believing in what is to be as well? Only to be tossed aside with no word at all?

Your thread should of read Some People... not Subs.. not Doms.. SOME PEOPLE.

Think next time... before jumping to conclusions... that only subs are only ones that do things like this. Because we're not.

Oh hon, I'm so sorry to read this. I know how excited and nervous you've been. Hang in there. There are a zillion things which could have caused his delay and subsequent failure to contact you. If you need an ear, feel free to write on the other side.

I do understand that Doms do this just as much if not more. I really do. I have been in the lifestyle awhile and not always with Dragon. Please dont get mad at me because I have been burned also. You are right... I should have listed that I am tired of the lack of morels, ethics and such from people in general... not just subs. I am truely sorry if you took this post personal. I do know that you were very exicted about this. I hope that all does turn out well for you.

Status: offline 		The more I think about it the more I think people should do a background check on people they are hooking up with online...any fakers or game players just arent gonna want you to do that. What does an honest person have to hide? Nothing. Could save a lot of time amd misery.

There are a lot of people out there today without morals or ethics. It's a sad but true fact that people lie all the time. Did you ask her about the incident? What was her response?

The internet has opened BDSM up to a lot of people that would have never have found it twenty years ago. There are many good aspects to this, but many negative ones as well. The strict code of honor was from the days when it was difficult to get into in BDSM. You had to have someone actually bring you into the scene and then you had to make a name/reputation for yourself. If you ruined that rep, you couldn't just change your screen name and move on to other victims. Now, anyone can call themselves a sub or Dominant. It means that people you'd not trust to babysit the dog next door are now part of the scene.

And look at it this way, wouldn't you rather find out she lacks firm morals before she is part of your family? Be thankful to that other man and feel sorry for him.

The problem with this, jali, is that the more intricate you make the game, the more the players have fun at playing it. Not to mention the expense and time wasted. One way or another, you get taken for a ride. I'd rather just waste the time then waste the money. But this is a dead horse that was beaten and buried long ago. Why bring it up again?

Status: offline 		Yep but it is, as has been pointed out, a people thing. Some are open and honest, some only SAY they are then play you like a fiddle.

I am just glad that I currently live somewhere that it is realistic to limit my search to local, it is easier to limit my risk and only start believing once I can hold them in my arms, before that its all just a nice thought but I wait to see real proof before I start investing emotionaly!

exactly...the only protocol there is ...is the one that u (no matter if sub or dom) agree too....so y rant. its well known that for sexual pleasure there is more than just lying in the books. ppl dont alwas tell the truth...nore can u expect *the truth* on the internet.

Status: offline 		That is why any slave coming to me for a "trial run" is paying his own way to get here. You can talk and email and IM and cam all you want, but you can't really know what is in a person's mind... and certainly there's no way to know they are serious, unless and until they meet you face to face. That's also, btw, why I refuse to IM and cam with prospective slaves; if they are wannawankers, they are not interested in getting to know me by email, they just want to get off. My no chat/IM weeds those types out really fast.

As far as your slave under consideration going behind your back... again, you really can't tell what is in someone's mind. There ARE players, not only here but in all walks of life. It just... happens. She was a bad apple, and you're well rid of someone like that, so instead of feeling bad about the whole thing, congratulate yourself on your narrow escape! :)

And make the slave plan to pay her way to you in future.... or at least half. Just so you know she's serious.
