What do you do when you look back and sudenly realize that some of your clothes, socks, and underwear is over 5 years old. The under wear is still in good condition. It's just that you've had it for over 5 years now wearing it atleast once a week. Not only does this thought include underwear but also vibrators/sex toys. Have you ever stoped to think how old and used your toys are?

Would anyone like to step up and admit a scray realization? If so, what is it?

The fact that, according to statistics, I have lived half of my life already.

I still have the suit I bought for my first job interview. It hasn't fit for years and years. But I spent what to me at the time seemed like a small fortune and I can't seem to let go.

That the boots I finaly had to get rid of and where disapointed about them not lasting longer.... where actualy older than some of the young ladys I've been talking with recently with a view to a possible relationship![:-]

The realization that if i go ahead with my plans to move out of the house shared with former Dom/now Roommate, i will be working over half the week to simply put a roof, half the size i have now, over my head.

The realization that nothing in my closet fits these days.

The realization that the path to wanting something and obtaining something isn't always apparent.

The realization that the person i have called best friend for 10 years is nothing more than an energy vampire and i really am alone in this world.

It's been a really TOUGH week ~~sigh~~

and the realization that realizing all these things doesn't mean i have to accept them. I, and only I, have the ability to change them.

fergus -> RE: Scary Realizations (3/15/2006 12:14:13 PM)

huh.

I don't wear the underwear often enough for it to get worn out. (seldom wear underwear)

and I don't get enough use out of the few toys I have for them to HAVE a chance to get worn out!

The realization that I am growing up, and life is moving forward, and there's not a damn thing I can do about it, or even know what to do WITH it. And what has happened in the past can not be changed, and I only can look back on the memories of a childhood that seems so far away.

The realization that some day I will have to face my past, and I will have to know how to stand on my own two feet to do so.

The realization that my dad and mom are not immortal and soon will have to leave me.

UtopianRanger -> RE: Scary Realizations (3/15/2006 1:27:16 PM)

The realization that I still have and was able to keep the first car {72 El Camino} I ever owned from the time I was a sophomore in high school.

That I am not the sexy beast I thought I was.;) No seriously that life is moving by way too fast. I can't believe I am thirty seven.

I have not started a pension and have very little savings.

SirKenin -> RE: Scary Realizations (3/18/2006 6:01:25 PM)

That I am getting old and there is a significant age gap between My wife and Myself. My wife reminded Me tonight of a song I listened to after being married with two kids that were several years old at the time that she listened to in high school at the same time (a Limp Bizkit song).. *sigh*

Yes. I'd like to admit that its scary that I realize I'm at an age that I've pretty much used up all my scary realizations. With the memory playing tricks these days, that finding all the dated undies is like shopping a private collection, especially since all of the various unworn delicates are quite pretty. [:)] For once being a shop-a-holic pays off.

mnottertail -> RE: Scary Realizations (3/19/2006 10:03:41 AM)

Ummmm, I own and wear shoes older than at least half the people on this site (a particular set of wing-tips, I am in that kinda business) they are aging well, I ain't...........

I used to catch hell because a pair of shoes didn't last 6 months.

I quit being scared a long time ago.
