Bravo TV's newest competition reality show, Top Chef, had contestant chefs create sensual desserts for a reception hosted by Madam S at Mr S Leathers in San Francisco.

It was delicious..and the desserts looked yummy also.

Bravo repeats the previous week episode on Wednesdays at 9:00 EST before the newest episode at 10:00 EST.

It was fun to watch, although some of the concepts of "sexy desserts" had me quite confused.

I loved that the guy who won really got into it and had fun with the theme and the party - even getting down to plant a kiss on Madame S's latex covered derriere :-)

all i could think was damn those people look hot. I was just busy drooling over the clothes. The reaction from the chefs was hilarious though. I love seeing people uncomfy when exposed to anything sexually related. Bravo to Bravo for pushing the envelope even just a teeny tiny bit.

Being a wannabe gourmet chef, this show combined two of my favorite things.. desserts and fetish shops. lol I echo Justatoy's sentiments. Brava to Bravo!

I dont watch Top Chef for the same reason I got annoyed with Project Runway. The challenges are silly and based solely on shock value rather than educating about the field. The judges are over-critical, pretentious hacks. The voice overs are blatant and ridiculous. And the drama is so overplayed, its obscene.

As far as this particular challenge is concerned, I am not certain it does the community a good service to parade the fetish community around like a sideshow attraction. Are we so starved for recognition and social approval that we will cling onto anything that shows a bit of latex evening wear?

I would have blown them all away with a double-ended strawberry/passion fruit lollipop. Interactive, intimate, oral, fun and delicious.

Oh my..I did not realize that such shows were produced for their educational value. Silly me. And here I thought enticing entertainment was the key to luring watchers..who then watch the commercials of the paying advertisers. Wow, what a concept.

Of course the judges are over-critical, pretentious hacks. That's what provides the obscene shock value that brings the viewers to watch the commercials etc etc.

If I want serious I watch PBS, History Channel, Discovery Channel or similiar broadcasting venues.

Actually it portrayed this segment of the fetish community as fun loving people and did not focus on blatent sex or negative issues. That is but two things that are positive about this type of public exposure.

That concept is unoriginal, overdone ( it would not suprise me if Mr S already sells pre-packaged lollipop dildos). The strawberry/passion fruit flavor is also trite and over-used. ...and lollipops take too long to eat for a stand-up cocktail party.

(I'm auditioning to be a haughty, pretentious judge)

My mistake. I did not realize your expectations were so low. Next time, I'll be sure to factor that in. You are dismissed.

OK so challenges like taking whatever clothes you are wearing right at that moment and turning them into total runway looks in a day, creating an outfit suitable to be mass produced by a popular clothing chain that goes from day to night wear, working as a team to create a line of lingerie in 2 days, creating a skating outfit for an Olympic skater, taking inspiration from a photograph and re-creating it with a runway look, or creating an entire outfit out of plant materials don't show any creativity, ingenuity, skill or talent?

Yeah, it's all silly and shock value.

And those are just from this season.

I think it shows that we're just one step closer to being part of everyday culture. It wasn't a play party, it was a mingling party.

as an artist and creative person i find the challenges to be very intriguing. Is it fluff? Yea a bit, but i would much rather watch that kind of fluff then yet another sitcom or drama made for the masses. As for the whole fetish wear, i thought it showed that shops like that are not as seedy as usually portrayed in the vanilla world..we are all entitled to our own opinions. I don't understand why some people feel they need to knock others down for having an opinion that differs from themselves..lighten up already Zenrage.

Zenrage, maybe a little more Zen, a little less rage in order here. What's that they say, "to each his own," "whatever floats your boat," "different strokes for different folks" or "De gustibus non est disputandum."

(took me two edits, but I finally got the Latin right. That'll learn me)
