This is one thing i hear a lot about, its an awesome assistance to weight loss and agelessness so to speak etc when your body makes it. I have heard that insulin tends to block your body from producing same. I admit i haven't done much research on it, so i am wondering about people's knowledge regarding HGH and the bodies production of same and what ya know basically.

I am not speaking so much about taking HGH or adding it to your body through injections or whatnot, but more of what it is and does on a more physical concept when your body produces it and how it does so and if eating certain things will help with the production of same?

From what I understand, it's one of those things where "just enough" is the perfect amount, and having more or having less is detrimental.  Think of it like insulin... if you have more than you need, or not enough, you won't operate at optimal and will likely be ill.

I knew that too much HGH will result in acromegaly.  However, per this link, it's safer than I thought.  But still not something to mess with.

Hi, i am speaking more about your body producing it and what hinders or helps it work at its optimal, like i have heard that insulin released hinders the body production of same and correct amounts of sleep helps it produce. Thanks for the posts.

I think HGH is something that your body naturally makes when you're young, and the level naturally declines when you age.

"Growth hormone hits its peak when the body grows rapidly during adolescence; hence, the hormone's name. Most growth-hormone secretion occurs in brief bursts, or pulses, that take place during the early hours of the deepest sleep.

The hormone lingers in the bloodstream for only a few minutes, but that is long enough to stimulate its uptake into the liver, where it is converted into growth factors. The most important of these is insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), also known as somatomedin C. IGF-1 is directly responsible for most of the positive benefits of growth hormone, although GH does exert some action on a local tissue level.

Growth hormone declines with age in every animal species tested to date. In humans, the amount of growth hormone after age 21 to 31 falls about 14 percent per decade, so that total 24-hour growth hormone production is cut in half by the age of 60. And after age 65, about half the population is partially or wholly deficient in growth hormone."
