Serenity (firefly)  (joss whedon is my god and Adam Baldwin can do anything he wants to me even in the   stupid  wool hat with the flaps)
Lost boys (named my son after one of the characters)
Fifth Element ( I have done hostage negotiations and I love bruces style, if I could only get away with it)
John Carpenters Vampires, (loved the cast, loved the humour, loved the special effects)
Night of the fireflys  (japanese animation that will tear your heart out.)

so many more on the list, how come only 5???????

If you'd read the book, you'd know this movie sucked worse than any screen adaptation of any book ever written.

The Snapper was utterly hilarious, but is it really in your top 5 of all time?

"Papa Don't Preach" kills me everytime...

MasterLucifer -> RE: Your top 5 Favorite Movies. (3/24/2006 1:54:03 PM)

In random order, I would say my top 5 contains the following movies :

- The hunt for Red October
- Star Trek 8 : First Contact
- Jurassic Park
- A few good men
- The rat race

'Don't put your mouth into motion before your brain is in gear'

'The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese'

'God created the world. Then, he created the devil, to blame for his mistakes'

DesertRat -> RE: Your top 5 Favorite Movies. (3/24/2006 3:18:19 PM)

Some of mine aren't really all that good, but they jmust mean alot to me. A couple are truly great films, though.

1) Breakfast At Tiffany's - My current favorite. For emotional reasons, but it's a great movie, too. Mostly, I love it for what it means to me and the girl I love.

2) Patton - George C. Scott's greatest performance.

3) Gone With The Wind - Superdense. So many levels. I love to get caught up in it.

4) 2001: A Space Odyssey

5) Lawrence of Arabia

honorable mention: Citizen Kane

The anime about the moving castle is Howl's Moving Castle. I just saw it the other day and it's quite amazing, even if the last section of the film makes no sense.

I'm sorry to say that, while there were some good things about it, the film adaption of Chicago mainly just pissed me off.
