Why is so many who claim to be owned do not deactivate their profiles.

I have notice so many young ladies who have activate profiles say they are collared or owned. If you are collared or owned why not deactivate your profile so you do not get bothered by Master looking for slaves or subs or at least say it in your profile. It seems so many get upset or nasty when they get contacted when they are not looking then here a little hint for you deactivate your profile and you will still be able to access collarme. This will cut down people contacting you since they are looking and you are not. I have talked with enough people are collarme at local munches and they all have the same problem.

Well, i am on here to make friends, participate in the forums, and hopefully learn things in the process. i may be collared, but i say so at the very beginning of my profile so there is no confusion. If someone messages me wanting to be my Top/Master/whatever, they obviously did not look an inch or so to the right to where it says that i am not interested in looking for one. Also, there are check-off boxes now where you can check what you are looking for.

i am staying in collarme now to make new friends, as i will shortly be moving to canada and will only know Master there, would be nice to know a few friends who live there.
i have finally found the nerve to post and hope i will be lovingly accepted onto the boards
i read the boards to learn , to open up new thoughts for me, new ways to see things, and it goes without saying, that i discuss the things i read with Master

i posted a note as clear as i possibly could that i am now collared, happily so
and i am still here with the clear permission from Master

so i am so sincerely sorry if i have offended You , it was not what i was meaning to do

I have a profile and am owned. Its a very limited profile saying hi I'm owned *grin* The reason I created it was so that my pic would appear with my posts cuz I appreciate seeing the face of other people posting and thought others might like the same.

I dont understand the whole deal with people saying they are getting numerous emails from Dominants looking for slaves and feeling offended about that cuz they are already owned, simple reason is, it doesnt happen to me, or very very rarely, when it does on the very odd occassion its not a biggie, I just ignore them.

Since being a member of collarme I've found another good reason for having a profile even if I'm not looking, it allows me to recieve email from other people posting who might like to just say something privately to me...so thats a bonus too re having a profile even though owned.

For those who are apparently getting upset about Doms emailing them when they are owned....maybe they enjoy emails from the people they actually want emails from so deactivating their profile here would mean losing that which may be a negative against your suggestion.

I dunno, I think, ignoring unwanted emails works, why let the little things in life upset us?

Hoosier Scorpio....why should they?..Sometimes when I see a posting in a forum, going to the OPs profile gives me a better idea of them or even possibly the situation they are attempting to map out.Plus as nicochan states they come on here to e-mail with friends and the like or to even meet new friends here.Respectfully though I am sure you find it difficult to go through profiles in your search ,that is the cross you must bear. Remember that CM is not only a way to meet potential Dom/subs mates, but also a way to meet others in the life, to share thoughts and experiences,wether it is in the forums the chat or even through their journaling on their profiles.I believe this subject has been brought up a couple of times since even I have been here,and it is a case of it is what it is....be well...Tempting

edit a " i am searching for...: profile? ...lol.. and miss all that unsolicited banter? If you reply to a profile that says.."searching for..." and get a response back saying" i'm owned! quit harrasing me!".. it's a good thing because you didn't end up getting into any extended conversation with the person who didn't care enough to edit it in the first place. Beyond that I'd imagine that profiles would say what the person creating it was interested in.. wether it be friends in a local scene, group info..etc and any reply to that type profile would be kept within the lines of what was stated as being searched for?

Why not ask the young ladies instead? We can speculate all we want, but no one in the forums is going to know 'why' those young ladies do what they do unless one happens to stumble in here and read your post.

Well you've seen my profile Master, its simple and straight to the point "I'm owned". Yet still...from time to time..i get those emails people talk about saying " A real woman deserves a real Master..contact me" *grin*

There are many reasons to have a profile here, as has already been stated, so deactivating them is not a practical option. When i wanted to join this forum, my Master said to be sure it is clear i am owned. i figured this name would do it. ;) Plus it says so in my profile. i have not received one email from anyone looking for me to submit to them so this problem is not an issue for me. As for those who do not state they are owned in their profiles and who get upset at receiving emails like that....it remains a mystery.

i have not received one unwanted email from a Master seeking me to fall to bended knees.

i have, however, thoroughly enjoyed a few really meaningful and enlightening banterings with wise and lovingly respectful Masters who just wish to share thoughts and wisdoms with me.

Master is told of every chat

i hope to meet friends of like beliefs who live in ottawa. Master and i would love to expand Oour circle of friends.

Profiles aren't adds for a singles groups. It's just a discription of who we are and what we like to do.

What a novel idea. There you go girls, once you are collared you should deactivate your profiles.. Guess that could mean the Dominants who aren't in the market for a sub/slave should do the same thing too. Ermmm Just a small point though....... many of the girls who you refer to, do show on their profiles that they have a Dominant and are here on a social basis with established friends and to meet newpeople for friendship.. Don't you think it may be a tad hard on themif they had to deactivate their profiles... It is not their fault id half the fuckwhits can't or dont read the girl's profile first and even then if they do read it, choose to be so damned rude as to contact and hit on the girl in any case. Seems to me the girls have a right to have a bitch session about these idiots. Strewth mate none of us have to read the posts if they annoy us.. Their venting is pretty healthy in my book..

I would say that most of the women subs that post on here are either 'owned' or in a relationship. I, for one, enjoy their conversations and their opinions on the topics here. They bring a clear note of opinion from the 'sub's side' of a relationship that I find refreshing and, in many cases, helpful.

If there profile says they are collared or owned, why would you bother writing to them in the first place. i personally, like to be able to see someones profile if they post something i am interested in. Besides, if you make everyone who is not currently seeking to remove thier profiles, then how would you know if the Dom in question can read and comprehend english.

Why should they? Why should anyone
If the person Reads the profile and it says Owned then move on.
Isn't that simple enough
I enjoy reading profiles learning a bit of information on people.

..on the other hand.........why would i care if a person contacts me? If they are not capable of understanding my profile, i have no problem in saying that i am owned and married, i'm not looking/seeking another, but thank you for the interest. Here's a thought also.........gosh, i may get an e-mail from a person that i really enjoy speaking with, i could care less if it's another dominant or not....i am still capable of saying: no thank you........but hey! how was your weekend?

My profile clearly states that I am owned and I rarely get any unwanted mail. Of course I don't have a pic up yet, so maybe that is why. People think I'm to ugly to harrass!
