Can anyone recommend one? I would particularly like one where the inflating bulb is not permanently attached.

Cocoon has some nice inflatable gags with removable pumps. Go to their website and look under the gags section. I like the inflatable kind but still has a tube the person can breathe thru. It allows the gag to be pumped a little tighter yet the person can still breathe thru it.

Thanks Mummyman. I found that one and it is currently at the top of my list. Have you used it?

I seem to remember seeing an inflatable gag with just a small valve protruding, but can't find it anymore. Has anyone seen one?

I have used it and do love it. Its one of my favorite gags. You can really pump it up to keep a person speechless. Nothing but small grunts. Yet it can be worn for a while (depending on your tolerance) as it has a tube thru the center allows you to breathe thru it. I have worn one as long as 4 hours without it being deflated.

I do have to add the safety warning here. One should never be left alone while gagged. So if your bound your partner needs to be in the same room as you while your gagged. Most people can hold their breath for about 1 minute, when planning to do so. So the unexpected gasp for air can have you passing out in as little as 20 to 30 seconds. So your partners trip to another room or the bathroom while you are bound could had bad results. Sorry to be long winded here but play safe :) !

Thanks! I ordered it. We'll see how well my sub can tolerate it. I'm pretty amazed. She was totally vanilla until I met her.

The Cocoon gag finally arrived after about 2 weeks in transit. Three days from England to NYC, then 8 days for the USPO to get it to Dallas. It is comfortable and effective. The inflatable portion is donut-shaped, and I would prefer that it was a bit wider (deeper into the mouth). It would also be nice if the valve didn't protrude quite so far out of the mouth.
