Hi,
I am planning to have genital piercings tomorrow on my BD!!...have not really decided which...clit, hood, or labia.
Any suggestions?
Do they make the area more sensitive?
Is there anything I should know before having genital piercings?
Is it possible to work out after that?

After i had my labial piercings, i went on a medical mission , was gone for a week and worked 12 hour days. I probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

I walked like a drunken cowboy that just got off a horse after a 12 hour ride. ouch!

i just got my hood done xmas eve... ^_^ I LOVE IT....

piercer said about 2 to 4 weeks to heal, the only thing i know is when i lean forward before is stand its OUCH...

otherwise... bumpy back roads... are.. your...mmm friend..

do not get your clit pierced, get your hood pierced if you want, but not your clit. You only have one and if something goes wrong...

Hello everyone,

OP, in terms of safety (and comfort, for that matter) get the hood done. The clit itself is far far too dangerous as a piercing, and I'd imagine the labia would have a tendency to rub, which could lead to migration and/or rejection (something you *do not* want to risk if you can help it).

Over the years, I've had multiple piercings (a vch included). The hood is really a "no fuss" piercing; it heals in around two weeks (even in a notoriously slow healer like myself) is easy to care for (as gross as this sounds, your own urine will do for something to help heal it; anything alcohol based only tends to delay the healing process) and is fun to play with (go over bumps in your car, and the healing period is a time of much merriment!). The infection rate for this one also tends to be non-existent (probably thanks to the generous blood supply to the area, and the fast healing time). The only thing I'd advise is to not play around with it (no sex, no masturbation, no anything of that nature) until it is fully healed (this goes for any "erotic" piercing, really).

I love Love LOVE my hood piercing.

Healing time was quick! It pinched like a mother when it was pierced. Felt like I was being skewered by a four foot long kabob skewer, but afterwards it was almost instantaneously pleasurable. Even now, three years later, I enjoy the feeling while I'm masturbating, although the random arousal from walking around has dissipated.

I highly recommend the hood piercing, especially as a first genital piercing. It's easy, quick, pleasurable, and attractive.

I did it!! I had my hood vertically pierced, and I already love it!!
It looks so sexy...
Yes, I agree that the hood piercing was the best choice for the first genital piercing,
but I am sure I am going back to the piercer for more soon...

I have to ask, are the hood piercings above or below the clit itself...(It feels all the same to me) which is better? from your perspective?
I only have ears at moment, but hood tantalizes me

its above, its the small flap of skin above your clit, if its vertical, it puts a curved or straight barbell and ball right on TOP of your clit ....

I aggree with most here, get your hood done first,it's a simple fast healing peircing. follow that with labia peircings.

I have all three and love them, often have a padlock fixed to the labia rings which feels fantastic!!!

Go for it and enjoy!!

I tried it, had my labia pierced. Feeling something dangling between my legs every time I walked just felt WRONG.....Took the jewelry out, and never put it back in.

I knew a guy who had 8 rings pierced through the shaft of his dick.

All I could think of was, "I'll bet it always sounds like there is change in his pocket"

He told me women dug it......... my thought?..... tooo bad.:)

For some reason, your post made me think of when I used to put a playing card in the spokes of my bike so it made that vroom sound. I wonder what sound metalic speed bumps make during sex?

Hello everyone,

After consulting with my piercer pre-procedure, I found out that some women (like myself) have a short hood. Women in this situation, if desiring a hood piercing, have to have a 14g CBR inserted instead of the 14g barbell (we are just not anatomically able to accomodate the barbell). We also have no choice as to the placement (it is always a VCH, there is no room for the HCH).

I thought my situation was unique, until I went to BME and saw a woman with the same arrangement there. My piercing was very successful (I had 6 issue free years with it before I removed it). Being what it was, I felt sure I'd experience migration or rejection, but it was perfectly fine.

I just thought I'd add this to the thread, in case a woman is thinking of having the procedure done, and thinks that it may not be possible for her due to a short hood.

I think it depends.

I have read that once you hit 4g that it will always be there. I had a PA that I had stretched to 2g. Then I left the jewelry out for 5-6 years at least. There always was a hole there though it had gotten much smaller. A few months ago I was able to stretch it into 6g within a few weeks with no problems.

And please remember, with a triangle make sure you get a piercer who has done them before and knows what he's doing. Only a small percentage of the female population is actually anatomically "arranged" for a triangle piercing - and if you get pierced incorrectly it can cause permanent damage. i really, really wanted a triangle but after a consultation with a very qualified piercer it was determined i couldn't have one correctly "threaded" - hence why i went with the VCH.
