I did not have Lushy's coffee, but had good champagne, and I am sitting here craving crepes, and now coffee, thanks to you,  like a mofo.

edited to correct typo that I am sure was caused by a crepe deficiency.

Lauren, it sounds like you had an awesome time!  Lushy offered me some home-made biscotti when I visit her city, I am definitely taking her up on that offer.

I am soooooo tired. But I am still at my friends and we have leftovers!

Katy, you got em. But it will be my mothers mondel bread recipe. Chocolate chip with citrus flavor and they are made so they are still soft. You'll love them!

Thank you lushy, for mentioning me.  Oh!  CJ cooked up some tasty vittles when we were there in the summer of 2008!

Yes, CJ's Shrimp was amazing!
And those Profiterals you somehow made up with a few puff balls or whatever they were, are still a memory to die for.

I have to get the family recipe back tommorrow. I lost my copy but I gave it to a friend. I wrote it out for her many years ago. But I didnt give instructions. She made it in loaf pans and she cooked them so well they were actually dark and crunchy like biscotti. She showed me the recipe I wrote out for her.

Thats not how mom made it. It was poured out on cookie sheets, cooked lightly, then cut up and browned lightly on all sides. But light enough that it soft and chewy, not hard and crunchy.

Most beautiful thing she did was to teach my uncles wife(he loves it) how to make it when they visited 4 weeks before she died. She had it all set up like a cooking show.

Hard to beat good company and good food. And maybe when you visit, I can be Lushy's sous chef.
