This jack-assedness is off topic - post this nonsense in the politics forum where, if  I could be arsed (which I couldn't), I'd gleefully tear holes in both your arguments.

The only "jack-assedness" is your comment and failure to READ. Had you done so, you'd have seen my comments were in direct REPLY TO another poster's comments.  You're just miffed 'cause they don't sit well with your likely, "The world owes me everything too" pissy view. You don't like this sort of topic being discussed here?  Then limit your comments to ADDRESSING THE PERSON WHO RAISED THIS TOPIC, not the one commenting to that which was raised. You didn't do that, and by doing so, show your silly bias.

Now, go back up your bullshit and start your GRAND thread in Politics to enlighten everyone and "tear holes" in everyone's "arguments" as you claim you can.  I'm betting you couldn't "tear" a piece of toilet paper.  Will be watching for you to back up your grandstanding... but I'm not holding my breath.

Blah... Blah... Blah... can't backup my bullshit!!!

As suspected... nothing but empty blathering.  Was this an example of you "tearing holes" in someone's argument? As stated... you couldn't "tear" a hole in a piece of toilet paper. LOL!!!   How pathetic.  You came here and ran your mouth, but can't back it up.... all foam and no beer.  You've lost all credibility now... do you want to go for pity too?!!  Oh you're just sooooooooooo DOMLY... NOT!!!

as someone said, marriage is the outcome - after months, maybe years of being in love and feeling thats the next inevitable step.

to start out with the premis of marriage would put me right off - way too much pressure with an outcome im not going to be certain about until time has elapsed and im confident its the right move.

money has nothing to do with love or compatibility or feeling you cant live without that person - when those feelings are envoked money is just another pragmatic problem to overcome.

youre going about it backwards i think.

Hummmm! That's a hard one.
Let's see could it be that we live in a consumerism driven society. No that can't be it.
Maybe it's that women to pick good providers and it takes money to provide now days. Gosh, no that can't be it!
Could it be that they like to have fun and travel and that cost money. Hum, nope definitely not that.
Could it be that they want things like a home to live in rather than a tent and the average home costs about $180,000. Naw I don't think thats it.
Maybe it's medical insurance and health care.  nope who needs their health.
Maybe it's because they want to have kids and each one of those costs an average of $250,000 more if they are stay at home moms. Not likely, who would want to have and care for kids. (Please note intense sarcasm.)
I got it - they like to eat things other than plain beans and rice! Yeh that must be it.
Send the $20 to me I answered the question.

THIS!

Sorry, if I'm taking care of me, than I'm taking care of ME.
