I just wanted to say that I can identify with this message board for Switches. I feel more comfortable here and knowing I am more understand. I can be myself. I started out as a domme and later explored my submissive side. Then when I could not choose either one becuase of the fact that...my moods change so easily...I decided...why should I choose? I am both domme and sub at different times. Too bad I cannot find another that understands this! I meet either subs wanting me to be a domme to them full time or a Dom saying I will be their 24//7 slave and they will let me dominate other girls on the internet. NO THANKYOU....dont you get it?? sheesh

Hi Robyn. Welcome. I know how you mean about finding that other side and realizing that being both is a good thing. I started sub but realized that I had a Domme streak which a certian experienced sub gentleman encouraged me to explore with him. It was great, and a learning experience about myself . Plus just in the way D/s kind of works, and some of the variations.

Howdy - I also started out as a sub but after assisting in a couple of scenes I find myself looking to develop my Domme side. So far I have only looked after subs before, during and after their scenes ... but I look forward to learning the art of domination ... ... and YES! This is a cool place to be ... (thanks MissTress for introducing me to collarchat)

I came to all of this driven by powerful submissive urges but I found after only a few experiences that I wanted it all. I started evaluating things I'd been doing for years from a new perspective and realized that my dominant side had been there all along but finding enough subconscious release that I hadn't been aware of it (Doesn't everybody's girlfriend have fingermark bruises on their ankles?) Don't let anybody tell you how this "Has To Be Done", and learn everything you can about the safety side of things A Heretic as usual Rich

Hi Robyn!! I started out as a Dom. I tried to get my sub at the time (we were both still VERY new to the lifestyle) to top me, but she would always purposfully hit triggers she knew would kick me into "Dom" mode. I've learned since then that it's just easier for me to only be Dom or submissive to a person. Hence, I could never top a Dom/me I was playing with or vice versa. Welcome! Tex

Don't put a lot of time into cyber BDSM online. You can find good sites to read for information and ideas but there is nothing like the reality. Attend a local munch, meet some real people. We almost never bite the new people at munches. :)

I agree, LonelyRobyn, I find this message board the closest to being comfortable in. Though still an outcast, at least this makes the most sense to me.
