Isablella Rosellini in Blue Velvet, staggering with her robe open, ravaged by emotion.

The entire movie, Pichot.

The scene in Ruthless People where Danny DeVito answers his phone and says, ""No, she can't come to the phone right now, she's got my dick in her mouth." Hangs up the phone and says to his clients, "I love wrong numbers."

*fans self*

I SO agree...I dated someone who looked exactly like Michael Madsen....yummmmmmm. I always think of him when I see that scene, even though he never came near my ear with a knife. [;)]

Semi hijack...would that be a lojack then???

Lev Saving Private Ryan makes my list too. Only the beginning scene where he's walking down the path...makes me bawl like a 2yr old needing a nap every time.

"tell me I was a good man"  Fuck...that scene just kills me too. Devastates me.

Yep. [:)] I can barely recount that part of the movie, and the scene between Damon and Hanks, where he tells him to "earn it", without choking up. I made my boss cry once telling it [:D]

When Holly Martins first sees Harry Lime, standing in a doorway across the street in the dark, in The Third Man.  "Come out, come out, wherever you are!", Holly sings . . .

OK, for special personal reasons based on memories of adolescence: Michelle Pfeiffer writhing on the piano in The Fabulous Baker Boys.  Low-backed dresses.  Yum for ever after.

numuncular -> RE: Absolutely BEST movie scene ever: (1/9/2010 10:00:43 PM)

the film itself is up and down, but I think the opening scene in Inglourious Basterds is as good as anything by anyone...

I swear if I had a sub that looked and sounded like that I would make him read things to me 24/7! Yummy is an understatement!

The scene in Bull Durham where Annie asks Crash ..What do you believe in? and he tells her "Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days. "
le sigh.

Crash was pretty damn sharp, eh?

intenze -> RE: Absolutely BEST movie scene ever: (1/10/2010 8:13:57 AM)
