pst... they can still have children. adoption is very legitimate, and private adoption is very legal. try again sweety.

Have you got proof? Since man was created in the image if god, with god's hopes, dreams, wants, needs, etc, then god must have had leanings towards the same sex to create gays humans. I mean, his only begotten son spent most of his adult life travelling with twelve other men, who ate slept and traveled together.

It's not that they're afraid.. just uncomfortable.

Marriage is meant to be about love, but the biggest objection appears to be over how two people go about anal sex in the privacy of their own bedroom. They will try and dress it up with various quotes from the Bible and God given arguments but the simple truth is that many heterosexual men have strange feelings and thoughts, not to mention irrational fears, when the subject is about a penis being shoved up another guy's asshole.

This isn't really about God and love but more to do with an obsession about penises.

That to me is the long and short of it.

There are laws against discrimination in hiring practices, housing, eligibility for social services and the like.  Any state that bans same-sex marriage is breaking its own discrimination laws.

I don't see how it can be interpreted that way. It may be highly hypocritical in light of other anti-discrimination laws on the books but I fail to see how a law that bars discrimination in hiring or housing to afford protection for same sex marriages.

In other words, the ban itself could be considered a hate crime.

Hate crime. The new racism.

I have said before, and i will say again.

By labeling the union a marriage, you are butting heads with the blue hairs who are still in political and financial power. They envision how life was when they were young and in love, and cannot see it any other way. Instead of fighting the system, baby steps are needed. "Civil unions" instead of "marriage", change the tax laws to allow recognition of civil unions, ect.

It shouldnt have to be this way, i agree. However, until this dinosaur breed of brides and grooms die off, then this is what must happen.

if a man has sex with another man is can not and does not produce children. if a woman has sex with another woman is does not produce children!!!!! in order for a child to be produce it has to between a man and a woman. just like GOD WANTED IT TO BE!!!!

If G-d only meant for couples who can have kids to get together, He would make everyone fertile and capable of having children.

While I'm late to the thread... personally I'd like to divorce marriage from legality altogether. Make the law only apply to civil unions and have weddings be a completely seperate thing, like a christianing or a bar mitzah. You fill out your paperwork, pay your fee at the courtcase for the legal end and then have your wedding in the faith that you choose. Which can restrict or allow based on sex, how you live your life or the color of your socks if it bloody wants to.

Edited to add: For the record, I'm pretty damn religious. I simply keep my religion out the law and I want the law to stay out of my religion.

We have enough people in this over populated world we don't need anymore.
I say let same sex couples get married if that is what they desire. Also let the
poly people do their thing. Who is it hurting? NO ONE. There are enough breeders
in this world that the human race will never die out and if "god" doesn't want same sex couples to marry then he/she/it should not have made them gay.

Have I bitched on CM about how selfish I am because I won't get knocked up and give Valyraen a kid from my womb? See, I want to do this crazy thing called adopt a kid who needs a mom and dad. Evidently, this makes me a selfish bitch who won't give my husband a baby. But if I'd gotten knocked up in high school, the same people would have told me to give it up for adoption...

I seriously want the stats on how many people both protest Planned Parenthood and adopt kids instead of having them.

And shame on you Lashra, you know that G-d didn't make them gay. They are just listening to Satan! Because G-d hates diversity and wants everyone to be EXACTLY the same.
