Interesting concept..never considered it a gauntlet. I first came here never having participated on message boards. I am very outspoken and I communicate for a living, so I thought, oh no problem at all.

What I mistakenly did on my first go around here, was let things annoy me or bother me and I let some of my issues speak for me, instead of me speaking for them more neutrally.

I got into some really ridiculous arguments with some people and got modded. Now I am back and much more cognizant of how to navigate these boards.

I could care less if there are cliques, or "in crowds" or really what strangers think of me. I have met people from here and spoken to quite a few who know the girl behind SexyRed. We all judge each other on our words, and I try to be clear, funny and helpful when appropriate.

Interestingly, some people I did not like before, but do now because I "get" them and their posting style. Others I loathed then and they have not changed at all, so I still cannot stand them.

I mostly dislike the supercilious ones who feel it is necessary to write novels and pontificate on EVERY thread, even the ones that are light hearted. I still ack patience for those who start endless threads and then care nothing for the replies, just like to hear themselves speak.

But now, the difference is I just laugh at them when before, I would have engaged in arguing. Only just recently did I allow a poster to piss me off to the extent that I engaged too much with that person. Now, first I read what I intend to post and think about for a moment, before I post.

As far as fitting in? I fit in where I want to fit and never tried to alter my personality to go with a crowd.

*giggles.

You know I am totally all talk and no action where this is concerned.  I couldn't be mean or tough if I tried!

I've never felt I had to here or anywhere else online.

Maybe because I don't really take much of anything online seriously and never have. It's just a place to hang out and if someone doesn't like something I have to say then they can type their complaints which just makes me shrug my shoulders and I continue on my merry way or they can put me on ignore which if they do we don't see each other anyway and we both go on our merry ways.

Gauntlet?

One my all time favorite games.  I would get it into "play forever" mode.

if i had to run a gauntlet, i didn't notice.

i was shy at first and didn't know if i was doing it right.

i only posted to existing threads in P&ORS for the longest time.  i still have only started a very few threads that are games.

One of the regulars (who was out of the country at the time) helped me understand that posters like their posts to be noticed...i still try to acknowledge other posters.  i like being nice.

that is a poison gelly and you get a hit on your life.

Which reminds me...I want a XBox 360 so I can get some games to play. Mom says I am on the computer too much (I let her have at it when I get sleepy or need to work on a crocheting project).

I think that I need to change my answer.  As I am remembering, I DID have to pay a toll of a nekkid photo to get accepted.  Man standards have went down since then.  Has anyone seen Insty anyways?

Mine was like this>>>>>>>>>

In the beginning, there was no gauntlet for me to run, wasn't until in recent months that many have tried forcing me too though I have refused to a great degree.

I think of this as like a giant cocktail party where everyone is having little conversations. You can either go up and smile and listen to them for a while, maybe join in, or you can barge in and show your ass( I did not mean literally, Bear). What sort of reaction do you think you will get at a cocktail party if you act like a dickhead? Same things goes here, at least for me.

Generally they don't have dickheads at cocktail parties because it creates this contradiction in terms, with the penis only being able to exist at one end of the body. These are my thoughts on the subject.

Waiter!
