Status: offline 		I think your mileage may vary depending on supply and demand.

SEX:
While females must make up approximately half the human population, for some reason, a female would be in much higher demand here than a male. Likewise, males disproportionately hunt for females online so the supply of males is overwhelmingly huge.

PROCLIVITY:
I'm not sure what I'd expect as a normal ratio of dominant to submissive but I'd wager the Dom/Domme's outweigh the subs by some ratio, perhaps 3:1 (I'm guessing); so again, it's supply and demand.  A male Dom would have, I'd calculate, something like 1/100th the chance of meeting someone here that a female sub would have.

LOCATION:
Additionally, your location will vastly affect the the supply of people to meet, face to face. I'm not sure what the geo-hotspots are for our kinky predilections, but bear in mind if you're not in one of them, you'll find it much harder than someone else who is in a kink-friendly arena.

ATTRACTION:
Physical & mental attraction will likewise affect the supply:demand curve, after the first three determinants are met. A comely submissive waif and a handsome dominant stud each would have greater chances of physically meeting someone than the average curlers-in-her-hair housewife (even so, she'll be inundated with responses worldwide) and the lowly average working joe (who has the hardest time of all). It matters less if the submissive female is mentally astute (as she'll be in demand nonetheless based on prior criteria); but it matters greatly for the average-looking joe that his mental abilities are well over par in order to even the odds against him.

Putting that together, and just now glancing at your profile, summarizing:
Sex: You're a guy (subtract two points ... so you start at -2)
Proclivity: You're a Dom (subtract only 1 point ... so you are at -3)
Location: Hmmm... Ohio? Kettering? (I'm gonna hafta' drop you another two points ... -5)
Attraction: Wow. Don't get me wrong, but, physically you got most of us beat. And quite a smile. Physically I bring you up 3 points (-2); mentally ... lem'me read a profile for a sec ... oh oh ... hmmm ... not horrid but not really what I'd call literary material ... I'll leave it at nil ...

Total score: -2 (your chances still aren't all that good).

Feel free to argue ... the heuristics are all out of the air ... nothing here is scientific except the law of supply and demand and the basic criteria (which could be argued otherwise). Good luck!

Status: offline 		Visiting last night with a friend, we were talking on this very topic--meeting people from CM.

We realized that we'd both met the same person here, who introduced us to each other and brought us to a local group where we've each met at least fifty more people over the past couple years. The exponential feature of networking through CM friends makes the number of people I've met through CM very high. One-to-one, I meet about 14 a year. So far only two were duds, the rest have looked the same as their photos, been pleasant and presentable. Some were wonderful.

Today I'll be going to a play party with my beautiful pony. Even though we'd been in the same places, I never saw her in person--I met her here instead.

CM is what you make of it--if you come with determination to hang in through the creepy stuff, and a cheerful attitude, knowing there are good people waiting to meet you, you'll meet them.

Status: offline 		I meet people all the time, though more often it's social (at a public BDSM event) than private.  I am a lot more wary of meeting people individually on a high-expectations basis from an adult website, so I strongly prefer the local BDSM community for personal connections.  If it's a more professional relationship (I do kinky personal training, fitness and nutrition coaching), I keep some clear boundaries for my own comfort and safety, and work with a client online for a time before being willing to meet them in person.  Basically I need to know they're not crazy or a stalker, and that they're serious about working with me on a trainer/client basis.

If they're willing to go to any of the local munches or play parties, that's my automatic asshole filter and safety net.  If they aren't active in the local community, and not willing to show up at a Munch, they have to jump through a lot more hoops to get a face to face meeting.  And I won't meet with someone on a personal basis *at all* who isn't willing to come to a public event.  If a guy wants to meet me in private but isn't willing to meet me in socially the company of my friends in the BDSM community, that's enough of a red flag that it's a deal breaker for anything but a professional relationship.

I met my husband here, as well as my ex boyfriend and a handful of people who I met as friends.

That being said, a bit of Unasked For Advice time: You are a very attractive man, but oh my goodness put some pants on. Seriously, you don't have to wear a shirt if you want to demonstrate that you're in shape but women don't want to see that.

If we see your profile pic we think ONE thing - This man is interested in a sexual "hookup" with me. It doesn't matter what your profile says, the closer to naked you are in your profile picture the more people will assume you're just after some casual sex thing.

Also I'd like to echo what others have said about making sure to punctuate and capitalize your profile. And "dominant" is the adjective form of the verb "dominate" and it's either "women" or "a woman" because when I see "I am looking for woman" I giggle and wonder if I'm going to be headbashed by a Nigerian Cavescammer.
