Five apparent models in their early twenties contacted me, expressing interest in my profile without having viewed it. Two of them insisted they be contacted only by the same yahoo address, which is odd, since they looked different. I'm used to getting 3-6 of these a year or so, what's got them stirred up right now?

Hmmmmmm, well, zee economy, she ees tanking. & January's frequently a relatively not-happy economic time, what with all those holiday bills coming due. & I suspect that those two currents are colliding.

Plus, computers -- ever cheaper, ever wider spread. We're still nowhere near +95% household saturation just in the US, much less globally .... . So the fun's just gettin' started, boys & girls . . . . . .

spam is up overall - new ways of squeezing their poo into mailboxes have increased and indeed, more forum spam.

I think the recession has hit them hard too :)

Could be the new computers they got from Christmas...and that cool spam program that they got from their 39-yr old brother that still lives with his parents...sweet!

Would it make it more acceptable to you if they stuck a red cross on it and printed it out and shoved it into your mailbox?

Or maybe rented a massive billboard and put it somewhere on your way to work?

The actual answer is that they want someone to start a new thread about scammers every day to bore the lot of us rigid and you have to admit that they're doing pretty well in their efforts.

Was there something too complex about the original post for you? The others figured it out.
